forearm pop

ok, i need some help with a little problem i have. 2 days ago i was doing preacher curls and i guess i lowered the weight too fast b/c i felt a kind of pop in my right forearm and sence then i can even do any kind of curl with that arm b/c something in my forearm keeps hurting. any ideas what it is?

I second Tony. If it is a tear then you dont want to put any more strain on it. It cant hurt to get it looked at and then you dont risk doing any more damage to it.

This is rough picture but you can sort of see the insertion point on the radius. Whats most interesting is that the bicep doesnt connect to the upper arm bone. It actually begins on the scapula (shoulder blade).

That is pretty funny. I just got done helping a guy who was having horrible charlie-horses in the calf when he did supine leg curls, and I had to explain to him that the gastrocnemius actually crosses the knee joint and originates on the femur. That being so, it initiates knee flexion, so I told him to keep his toes pointed up (dorsiflexed) to keep his calf from contracting.
