Fitness Journal number 2- back to square one.

Hello everyone.

I started a fitness journal a couple of years ago, and it worked pretty well. However in the last 6 months I've been spiraling downwards and it's time I start trying to climb back out.

So here are my starting stats.

My name's Steve. I'm 6"1' and 211 lbs. My BMI: 27.8 (Overweight)

Goals: To lose 31 pounds. By August 1st, about 30 weeks from now.

How am I going to do it?
  • Continue to play hockey once a week
  • Go to the gym four times a week
  • Stop eating before I go to bed
  • Go to bed at a reasonable time
  • Stop eating fast food
  • Documenting my daily food intake as well as weekly goals.

Goals for this week:
  • Go to the gym 4 times
  • Lose 1 pound 211->210
 
Welcome back! Very good and resonable plan you've got. I should focus on my sleep. It's an aspect of my health that I don't do well with. The link below is to an abstract that links poor sleep to accelerated aging, memory impairment, increased appetite, and increased risk for diabetes and obesity. A click on the "related articles" tab shows that it isn't an isolated find.
