First Time Doing a Weight-Loss Diary: I'm Dedicated to Shed This Extra Weight of Mine

Hello Everyone on W-LF.com,

My name is Daniel Silva and I would like to welcome myself here onto the diary/journal section.

Goals? (Let's just first underline these goals of mine because without goals, what do we aim for?)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm 22 years of age and I'm wanting a more active lifestyle. I want to look more attractive, get a couple of numbers here and there, and also look better for myself.
I would also like to improve my health. At the moment, I feel like everything I do is very energy taxing.
I would love to lose about 70-80 pounds. I remember when I was about 180, my body felt great. Flat tummy, I looked good in my clothes and it all felt great.
I would also like to get out more. If I lose weight, then that would mean that I broke my food addiction, giving me more energy and a better sense of life.

Methods of Weight Loss?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's say I'm going to lift weights every couple of days, but aerobically, not to gain muscle.
I will also keep active and stay away from home, because boring eating is unhealthy eating.
Some light aerobics. (With my heavy weight, this should be some fun and somewhat challenging)
I will be adding more walking to my lifestyle.

Time frame to lose weight?
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Expected time-frame: about 1 - 1.5 years

Current Weight: 257 pounds
Current Body Mass Index: 40.3

I will be updating weekly so stay tuned everyone!
Pictures will also be uploaded weekly with a description of the weeks activities and emotional/physical challenges.

This week has been rough for me. I've been sweating my butt off trying to keep as active as I can with my schedule. So far I crash dieted a bit but managed to lose 1 pound. Hopefully next week goes better and I'm going to need to find a good way to fight these food cravings, I'm on my way and all that matters is that in trying.

What am I doing as a work out?

Running in place a lot. (Since I'm heavy this is moderately hard bitiI can feel my heart pumping and the calories burning.)

Also I lift dumbbells to build some muscle.

Staying motivated is my biggest challenge right now but remembering how great I use to feel when I was 180 was incomparable to nows 256 pounds.

It's ok. Take it slow, but increase the intensity every day you do it. I remember when I first started working out (some 3 years ago) I had to march in front of the TV for 10 minutes only because I was out of breath xD.

Good luck! You can do it :D
