First stop: Spartan Turkey

My dad hasn´t felt like having breakfast for... 60 years (since he was made responsible for milking the cows in the morning at 7 or so) but my mom used to make him eat something because that was said to be really important. He´s lost 10 kg since cutting it out. I say everyone´s different and we should all learn to listen to our bodies. For me not having breakfast is only feasible on non-work days when I know I´ll be distracted. Non-work because otherwise I start to feel faint, and distraction because otherwise I´ll get cravey. Works a charm when I´m visiting my parents though.

I liked the article.

We never have breakfast bc we are asleep! :rotflmao:

Our crazy hours we keep bc of hubby's job/hours. We have "Brunch."

:waving:Hope you're havin' a great Sunday!

Interesting article. I usually judge by how I'm feeling that morning. If I want breakfast, then I eat it. If I don't want it, then I skip.

Overdid it yesterday, but not horribly. Lots of fun at the game and good seats. Did a lot of walking, tho.

Today was good food-wise, and I kept myself busy with yard work.

Tomorrow: Puerto Rico. And with that comes tostones, churrasco, pina colada, breakfast buffet, and all other things tempting. Wish me luck!

You can choose well LJ. Well done on the good eating day & the yard work. Enjoy Puerto Rico!

I wish you well and remind you that you seem to be going to Puerto Rico on a semi-regular basis so you don´t have to retry all the things in one visit. Enjoy!

Stay mindful of protection from mosquitoes!! Just heard another report re: Puerto Rico - Zika Virus

:seeya:Safe Travels!

This was a tough one, plain and simple. I had no exercise opportunities - up at 5, get ready, breakfast, go to the plant until 6 or 7 pm, then straight to dinner. Dinner is PR is not a hurried thing, so everything's slow, so I'm back in the hotel around 9:30, wiped out. I managed one small walk the whole time. But I was able to control my intake to a reasonable amount the whole time - breakfast buffet was mainly filling up on fruits and veggie omelet, with one or two pieces of sausage. Lunch was catered almost every day - chicken and vegetables for the most part. Dinner was mainly seafood and one or two non-sugary drinks (OK, and a couple mojitos along the way). Lots of water.

Gained a couple pounds, but I think that can be dropped off this week.

I'll be back on track again starting today.

Well done LJ! Being busy helps prevent boredom eating but being exhausted can make resisting buffets SO hard. I hope you're at least a little proud of yourself.

Thank you ladies! Could've been worse, true.

Yesterday's re-entry went so-so. Did a 50 minute, 500 calorie row, and some yard work. BUT I chose poorly for breakfast and got carried away at snack time. Came in a little over goal, calorie-wise, but not by much.

Today should be better, I had yogurt for breakfast and gobs of water. Lunch will likely be a turkey on rye. Dunno about dinner, but I have another long row (4 x 12 minutes at a jogging pace). The rest of the week will be about the same, I think. Tomorrow's a rest day so maybe I'll skip lunch or just grab a salad.

I was 366 yesterday, haven't hopped on today.

I was with both of you until this morning and I was overly hungry and I hit the drive-thru - Turkey Sausage flatbread, probably the healthiest thing on the DD menu. So it looks like I'm skipping lunch - I am hosting a 12 o'clock meeting today and I left my wallet in my car, so I won't be driven to an impulsive decision. I will have a reasonable snack at home then immediately mow the lawn and I'll be good to go.

Yesterday was a long, long row. Technically shorter than the previous one, but it just felt eternal. I was assaulted by the snack monster, too - I had an early-evening meeting.

Weekend's coming, going camping with another family (and mine, oddly enough). It's a nice campground, lots of bicycle-friendly trails around. I won't be able to use my CPAP, so I suspect drowsiness will be part of the formula, but a few days without should be alright.

It'll be interesting to see how the apnea influences you now that you're used to sleeping properly. Good job sticking to the healtiest unhealthy option and adjusting your plan accordingly.

Our store brand here is Spartan. Now I'm going to think of you every time I go near the frozen turkey's in our grocery store. :p
