Finally

I'm going to DO IT! I have struggled for so long with such distorted views of my body, food, and exercise for sooo long.
I have been eating disordered for nearly 3 years (bulimia) and I think I am beating it out ALONE! I confided in my mother, and since then I have just bit down and toughed it out. I have eaten poorly in the past two months, but I have come to realize I have the power to be in control. I feel alot better because I have eliminated most of my mental setbacks.
I read the book "Body For Life" and it's coming in the mail soon... my problem is I have always wanted a quick fix for weight loss. I have gone weeks of eating 300-800 calories per day... with hardly ANY weight loss!!!
I HAVE been weight training for a year and a half, which I LOVE, but I think I had abused cardio (thus no fat loss?)
So now I've taken pictures and I'm working on my diet (and resisting bordom eating, which will go away when I start school/work again)
I think I've got it in me, I just can't get discouraged.
I am looking to lose 10-15 pounds of fat and build a bit more muscle in my legs (hams). I really want those veins bulging in my arms!!!
Sorry this is so long, but I can't wait until I get into the swing of things and focus on getting healthy!

we're on the brink of a new year. 365 days of the year 2005 will start in a few hours. one day at a time, month after month.

just think where you're gonna be this time next year. how you're gonna look, how you're gonna feel. this isnt just about appearance and health. it opens up your whole life if you allow it.

I got the book in the mail and I'm planning to follow it through. I'm into my first week and I'm doing really well. I like how I am writing EVERYTHING down, all exercise, all foods, everything. And it's all scheduled, my weight training days are so different now, and cardio is only 20 minutes 3 times a week.

My first session of HIIT cardio kicked my ass but I love it!!!

hi my name is christina im new can any one out there tell me what i have to do to lose my love handles my wedding is in march and im having to lose at least 4in how can i do this please help
 
welcome aboard proserpine, good luck with your goals. you can do anything you set your mind too. and congrats on the new start you've got some great times ahead, just remember to see changes you have to eat right. welcome the new year and kept at it :)
 
Go proserpine- I think this forum is about getting the knowledge and encouragement to empower yourself! Way to go - and that picture of you looks pretty hot by the way!!!
