I've always been in the gym, but have always trained for athletic performance, and I definitely have genetics to help out with that. I started a few months ago trying to train from what I've read on fitness.com.

I still eat a lot of carbs, do an upper/lower body split routine, and try to get in 2 sprint workouts in per week.
If you want to see my workouts/diet in daily detail you can go to trainersjournal.com and login with
username: keith password: gymrat
and go to 'my calendar'

Some numbers: I'm 5'9", 184lbs, ~7% body fat I think.

What I really want to know is how to blow up my legs!
If you can't help me with that answer, then at least check out trainersjournal.com. I made it for myself, but I had all gym-goers in mind. Plus if you're a personal trainer, there's a great client-management tool built in.

This is probably spam since i saw the same guy in the T-nation "rate my physique" section, but who cares. He posted pictures.

I gave you a 8. Legs and chest need some work from a bodybuilding stand point. To the average-joe you'd be a 10.

That is one impressive back double BI. Shoulders look PHENOMENAL.

finally some critics! yes! hehe yep you're all right - i'm full of imbalances and scariness. i've been a decathlete all my life; never a bodybuilder or trained to be one. nor am i a photographer or know how to pose correctly. the back shot does make my right arm look way smaller than my left, ironically it's actually a 1/2" bigger.

so instead of just making me cry, how about some advice on how you keep your body perfectly symmetric?

as far as trainersjournal.com is considered, it's unsolicited, by not via bulk messaging. i like t-nation, fitness.com, and bodybuilding.com, and designing trainersjournal.com for fellow fitness enthusiasts, i decided to advertise my service on their message boards.

There is no denying the level of personal dedication and consistency it takes to reach certain physique levels that one personally desires.

My hat is off to you, in this area.

Much success to you.

Lets hope you become a positive contributing member under the rules.

Best wishes,

ha definitely an out of context message, albeit a funny one though karky.

phate i couldn't tell you what my 1rm's are, but before i got the flu in march these were my numbers:
bench: 5 x 275
back squat (chest to the knees): 5 x 325
deadlift: 12 x 315 (i need to buy some straps, once i get above 345 i can't do more than 6 reps before my hands give out)
i've been doing an upper/lower body split and 1+ sprint workouts a week.
i think i'm going to alter that into a 2 week routine where
week 1: back squats wider stance, romanian deadlifts
week 2: front squats, sumo deadlifts

suggestions?

Thanks BigTW!

I just made an attempt at this workout:
and wow I've got a new goal to attain (just complete this routine)

I didn't log my results on trainersjournal.com yet, but just the back squats alone with a bored under my heels like the guy in the pic in the article - absolutely smoked my legs.

Tough room. It reminds me of another forum. Someone will post a pic of a gorgeous woman and everyone will pick her apart and say why she's ugly
