Are you also testing your bodyfat? I don't know why, but it just doesn't make sense to do cardio on an empty stomache in the morning. It seems like you would be burning away muscle. Your results are good though. I'll read some more into later. Good luck

The whole cardio in the morning came from being in the military for years, that's the way they do it. The principle is that an empty stomach is the time when you burn body fat the best because there is no glycogen in the blood stream (sugar) for the body to use as a fuel source. Cardio in the morning on an empty stomach is intense for loosing body fat.

I haven't had my body fat percentage taken yet but that's a good idea. I've lost 40 lbs in 5 months and went from a waist (I hate to even say it) 44 to now I'm sqeezing into 36's. When I started I could only run for about 3-4 minutes on the treadmill now I'll do 40 minutes on the treadmill and then go over and hit the bike for 10 to 30 more minutes more. I've also been weight training 4 days a week with a trainer so I'm also putting on muscle.

So I had my body fat checked today. They did two tests with the calipers the first one was 12.5% and the second was 11.5%. Then they did one with a digital machine where I held these two handles and the result was 22% :mad:

There you have it, inconclusive. The trainer said the digital machine sucks and the calipers are the best but I don't think I'm 12% body fat. I think it's higher.
 
Great work SS! I've loved reading through this thread to actualy see someone who is putting in the work and getting some major results, and also (and probably most importantly) feeling great with themselfs.

Yeah, trainers will do that to you. :) A doctor trained in this field can only get within an avg of 3% of your actual bf% with calipers.
 
187 Lbs this morning... Down 43 Lbs in 6 months! I'm hungry lolol...

I'm organizing my before pictures, you guys are going to s**t when I post the before and afters.

p.s. My trainer, Edward Brown is in this issue of FHM Magazine, it's on the stands right now. He's about ten pages from the end, 2 pages of him training this dude. They want me to be featured next, I told them give me till February and will give you an after picture that will blow your mind!!! :D
 
Usually I'll do 30 to 40 minutes on the treadmill, keeping my heart rate around 135 bpm. If I'm really banged up from training I will do the stationary bike or a combonation of both. When I wake up I drink an ounce of aloa vera juice with a half lemon sqeezed in with water.
 
Hey everyone,

I weighed in this morning at 188 lbs, which is a pound heavier than my last weigh in. I'm not sure if I've platued temporeraly or I've put on muscle. This past week or so has been intense in the gym and I'm looking thinner. So I'm not sure, either way I'm still full steam ahead.

6 weeks from today is when I go home for Christmas and my goal is to weigh 175 lbs. So I'm going to up the intensity.

I found my before pics this week, holy s**t!!! I was 230 and looked like a pile of dough :( :( So I showed them to a client and then took off my shirt and he was floored, he said he didn't even know I was than lean because I still had all my old clothes on. So I went this week and bought new clothes, wow I bought all medium's and large's. My old clothes were XXL's... Getting in shape ROCKS!!!
 
Good for you! you sound so pumped up! I loved that movie. I keep telling everyone to wa :) tch it...personally I still wanted a big mac but I don't eat that stuff anyways..
 
It's been a crazy few weeks walking the earth 45 lbs lighter and new clothes. I weighed in this morning at 185 lbs, down 45 lbs. Today starts part two, I have 3 months to lose the rest, at least 20 more lbs. Back to strict central! :cool:
 
Seriously man thats awesome. Very inspiring and somewhat makes me feel like a lazy arse because my results are crap in comparison. Makes me more motivated though!

Thanks man you guys have really helped me. I'm on a major role right now, my diet is dead balls on!!! And my training is to failure every workout. NO TOMORROW!!! Plus I've been watching Rocky lately. lololol... :D :D :D
