Final Frontier

Alright, time for a little background story.

Since elementary school I was always chubby/fat, (180lbs by 5th grade) unfortunately this trend continued to get worse until I completely topped out at around 315 mid Junior year in Highschool. My dream was to join the Marine Corps, due to my dad being a Marine and the vast amount of respect they earn,(I've never earned any/had any). So since that fateful day almost 2 years ago I felt it was time for a change, I started my change by giving up soda (from that mid-year til I graduated High School, June of this year), I dropped from 315lbs~ to mid 280s. Still not enough, so I figured if I wanted to live my dream and earn the respect by being able to join the Marines, I had to start to work hard on my dream. Lost about 20lbs from June-early Oct(mid 260s then). Still not enough so I've been pushing myself just so I could continue what I want to do.

Right now I'm a full time college student/work 25-30~hrs a week/go to the gym for about an hour a day (50min straight hard workout)

Current: (last time I checked 220~ will update when I go to the gym after school)
Goal: 195

What I've been doing:
eating healthier(no soda/junk food at all)
cardio/occasional weight lifting

So I still need to drop about 25ish lbs so I can achieve my dream of joining The Marines. This is just going to be my little insight and log for the next couple months while I work over that last hurdle. Wish me luck

Just an interesting fact if you guys wanted to know.

the sizes I've dropped
from XXL shirts to a comfortable Large size (will maintain)
From size 50-52 jeans to a 38 (will be at 34~ when I reach my goal)

I think you're doing a great job. This last stretch of pounds are probably the hardest, but it sounds like you should be able to do it. And thanks in advance for your desire to serve the country.
