Fatigue

I have recently started working out more frequently and have found that iI always feel really tired whenever i'm not working out.

I was just wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences and also if this is symptomatic of not intaking enough food or just not getting enough sleep.

Many thanks for any replies.

Your fatigue could be caused by a variety of reasons:

1. Dehydration - if you're not taking in enough water, you will feel excessively tired and sluggish. For about a month this summer I wasn't taking enough water in, hardly any at all, and was training very hard. I fell asleep several times a day, I would just nod off.

2. Improper Nutrition - you may be getting too little protein, too few carbohydrates, too much fat, too littl fat, too few calories. The implications of poor diet run deep. To accurately analyze your nutritional requirements I would need to know more about you, your workouts and what you're eating.

3. Overtraining - if you are spending too much time in the gym, competing too many exercises, going overboard with cardio etc.

4. Sleep - If you're not getting enough sleep, this could be an effect; as well as if you sleep poorly. Dehydration and poor nutrition can cause low quality "toss 'n turn" sleep patterns.

These are just some ideas.
