Hey folks. Thought I'd post one of these per the recommendations.
Goal - to get to 180 lbs by September 09
Current weight - 252lbs (16 Dec 08)
Initial method - cut out junk food, eat more home cooked meals, drink more water
Slowly work my way back into regular exercise - I have bad knees (I'm a soccer player) and exercise induced asthma. I used to play soccer and do martial arts once per week at my peak physical condition in my 20's. I weighed about 160 then. Solid muscle.
Right now I have a fat face, big belly, but the legs and arms still have the muscle and tone from years ago.
My goal is to get to 180, and get fit enough to run a 5k comfortably in 09. By 2011, I want to be ready to train for a marathon.
I am a vegetarian, and I was actually around 200lbs when I moved to the States, but I just can't get used to the food here, and ballooned to 245 in the first month or so. I peaked at 268 about 2 months ago, and have gradually got back down to 252. Being this heavy affects me when I'm playing - I tire easily, my sorry knees can't carry the weight, and I am not as fast as I used to be.
Hoping this diary helps me some
Cheers, folks!
