I have a Symmetry HC 810 elliptical, and it started making some noises and feeling really tight when trying to use it. Unfortunately, the store we bought it from went out of business, and so did the manufacturer, so, we have no support.
We took it apart and inspected the belts, wheels, etc, and everything appears to be ok. So, we lubed all of the joints, etc, and now it moves more freely. But, when the foot rotates, we still hear some noise. It's not like an all out grinding metal noise, but, sounds like something is rubbing, and we hear a 'knock' type noise too.
Any ideas on what we can do? Tried to call service places, and none were open to the idea of coming out to service it b/c the manufacturer is out of business. (obviously new parts would not be available if needed)
