Here goes! I've just joined up because I've heard that making a public commitment is more motivating. So I'm going to post my weight every Sunday and comment on how well or badly I do every now and then. I'll start off with a back log of my weight loss efforts so far...as you will see, the numbers are going the wrong way!


28/07 - 9st 6

31/07 - 9st 5 3/4

08/08 - 9st 6 7/8

14/08 - 9st 7 1/2

21/08 - 9st 7 7/8


I'm trying to not over eat at meal times and am allowing myself three snacks a day - morning, afternoon and before bed - but healthy ones. I am cutting out all junk food but allowing myself one cheat day a week. The junk food that tempts me most is crisps! I have failed in these rules but am starting a new effort now!


I realise I'm not fat and have a healthy BMI, but I would like to be slimmer. I tend to put weight on around my face so look a lot nicer when I'm slimmer. I don't do much exercise at the moment, so might try to increase that sometime. Any comments are welcome :)
 
Just had dinner and overate :( not drastically, but feel a bit too full! I won't eat anything else this evening and try again tomorrow! I'm making a pact now to just have one course at dinner tomorrow!
 
Ahave you tried counting calories, that way you know if you can have that extra meal at dinner.
 
Hiya, thanks for the comment. I do notice how many calories are on packaged food and everything, but I think counting all of them is a bit much for me - takes up too much time! I like to think that I can lose weight just by eating sensibly and becoming more active. Also if you're not eating packaged food it's hard to tell... I guess it works for you though?
 
I had a couple of figs later in the evening last night, but that's OK because I felt hungry and they're not too bad! Doing well so far today, the challenge comes this evening :)
