I decided to copy everybody else and make a diary. =P This way, if I need to vent, I know that SOMEBODY else out there knows about it XD Hehehehe.
So I've been working out and dieting and everything for probably about a month now (well, I've been off and on diets for the last three years. XD). I was my heaviest ever last november, and I went on the GI diet and lost about 10 lbs in around 18 days. Then I went to Mexico, and it was really hard to find the kind of food that I need so I kinda cheated through the whole three week vacation. Suprisingly, everyday of cheese filled enchiladas and tacos with beef did not make me gain all my weight back. I gained it all back in the months following when I got home. I was off my diet and working at the mall... with a food court... with lots of yummy fast food!
So I decided it was time to take the weight off for good. I'm trying to be very patient with myself and not try to lose too fast. So I'm TRYING to do everything right...
However.. in the last month I really haven't lost much. I mean, I started at 130-ish and this morning I was about 127 ish. Though last night I was 130... and the day before that I was 126. Now I remember why I would throw the scale away and never use it... but curiousity is always there. What is more important is I can see and feel the difference.
I was doing my hair for church yesterday and was shocked to see what shapely arms I had! I was putting my hair up in front of the mirror and saw my biceps bulging out a little and my shoulders looked wonderful, all these fabulous lines where they should be on my arms. XD I've also got some nice hard quads. There is still fat on my legs, because I seem to be losing it there last, but I can feel all of that muscle popping up all over the place underneath. It makes the fronts of my legs look so much nicer in a slinky dress. XD
Ok. So this time of year in my city is something called the "Stampede" we all dress up like cowboys and go. It's like an amusement park but with a TON of other stuff to see. You could go there for the whole day (it's open until midnight) and probably not have to go on the rides to see a lot. Everyone knows that at amusement parks or anything like that, healthy food is always hard to find. And since we didn't have food in the house I couldn't pack a lunch!
When we got there the family went to buy mini donuts. DEEP FRIED DOUGH COVERED IN SUGAR! XD It's a family tradition, and they are so good I had to have ONE. (I know, I'm bad XD) they are very small though... so I hope it didn't set me back too much. Later I was tempted by cotton candy. I shared it with everybody else though, so I don't feel like I did too badly on that. We stumbled upon a food place that looked healthier than the rest, it was one of those places that serves gyro wraps, and you could have either chicken, lamb or beef. I was so relieved. The food wasn't deep fried like everything else in that place. I ripped away most of the pita the food was wrapped in cause it isn't the best. XD I'm happy I decided to eat something a little healthier than the pizza and corndogs (there are like 5 corn dog stands in a ROW XD). It wasn't that big either, which makes it even better for me XD
So! What I ate so far...
Breakfast - Shredded wheat with skim milk + some chicken.
Snack - Piece of bread and LOTS of vegetables.
Lunch - Wrap. Cotton Candy... (>.> yikes)
Snack - Lots of chicken and a lot of cucumber.
Dinner - (after work out) Protein shake and a salad.
Snack - Chicken breast
Wow. I eat a lot of chicken.... u.u
I did an upper body work out today.
Bench press-
Sets- 3 .. Reps- 12/10/8/6 .. Weight- 70/70/75/80!
Getting up there! XD Hahahaha. I was doing 100 lbs with my dads help the other day. It was so hard I thought I was gonna die. I definitely couldn't do it ALL by myself, but he sure left a lot of the weight on me still. u.u;;; I know it doesn't sound like very much to lift, but I've always had a really really WEAK upper body, and it's finally getting a teeny bit stronger.
I listed reps/weight/sets for everything else in a workout log I bought. I don't really want to record it all here!!
I'm about to go to do 45 mins of cardio =). (Then actually eat my last snack which is that chicken breast I recorded... XD)
