eating at night

sometimes i get really hungry late at night like 11:00 an hour before im going to go to sleep... is it bad to eat a sandwich with wholegrain bread? should i cut carbs out of an evening snack? should i cut out the evening snack altogether if ive had 5 meals in the day already?

Depends on your body type. Are you overweight? If so, don't eat after 8pm. If fat/flab ain't an issue, go for it. Personally, ever once in a while I get a late night hunger. I take one peice of wheat bread and add penut butter and jelly, fold it over and eat it.
 
in shape with a little fat over my lower abdominals that i want to get rid of... but im also bulking right now... dont care much about HUGE muscle gains, already pretty athletic, care more about getting rid of fat.
 
whats more important is eating your alloted calories for the day and not about eating up to a certain time. having a good prebed meal to sustain one through the night is a very wise choice.

I definitely agree, and if you're bulking right now, you should be ok ,it would probably be beneficial to eat before you go to sleep, it's gonna be hard to bulk up without gaining some fat though
 
I have always heard that a good late night snack was cottage cheese. It's a slow release protein and cuts those late night hunger pains pretty good.
