This is a really nice vid. Nice tips to. I usually use measuring cups when i first cook something. Once i've cooked it long enough then i can just eyeball it. No problems so far so i believe i been eyeballing everything correctly lol.

I actually dont really bother measuring or really calorie counting. I mostly just try to stick to as natural foods as i can if i can and eat smaller portions, staying away from junk and drinking nothing but water... so far its working out for me but this has me wondering if i should be :S. if people who measure and and actually calculate their calories can be significantly effected by small mismeasurements how much will i be effected? maybe i'm worrying too much lol maybe if i hit a brick wall then ill start measuring/ weighing...

Other than the fact you're just trying to spam the forum - why do you think carbs are bad? and prove your comment about metabolism

So you have no idea about this product and you just saw it on some advertisement the other day and that gave you enough belief in it to recommend it to thousands of people?

Very interesting.

lol, yea and in the post right above that, he suggests avoiding fads...this fullbar sounds like another fad to me!

Okay, let me say something on this subject. First, even though I only drop by here occasionally when I'm bored, some of you probably realize by now I'm not here peddling anything. At least I hope so.

Regarding these FullBars, they ship you a pack of 144 bars for $175. Realistically, do you think you'd ever eat that many before you got sick of them? I haven't tried them, and I don't have to to know they taste like crap.

But if you want to go this route, I'll offer you a solution.

Background. I worked for years in the hospitality industry as a pastry chef.

In response to some of these dumb ass ads people were posting for weight loss cookies and the like, I developed a recipe that was just as good, tasted a whole lot better, and was a hell of a lot cheaper.

Some people tried them and posted comments like this:

Chef Should Start His Own MLM Because...

That diet cookie recipe on his site is the bomb!l I'm serious! I made a batch for our New Years thing at church and got everyone addicted to them! Everyone wanted the recipe. I'm gonna take some credit though because I did doctor it up a little (used whole wheat flour instead of white four, oranic sugar instead of refined, and crasins and walnuts in place of raisins). Of course everyone ate waaaay more than the serving size so it kinda defeated the purpose but hey, at least its healthy!

Well, I dug up that recipe from an old file and put it back on the net in case anybody feels ambitious and wants to make a batch. Not complicated at all. I keep a domain for posting junk on and you can find that recipe I'm talking about here:

The recipe is forgiving if you want to doctor it up a bit, within reason.

No advertising, nothing being sold. Take a look if you're interested.

i never had to measure my food with an actual scale until i got down to 140 and plateaued (prev. just used measuring cups). but now since i have less weight to loose, i need to measure everything!! one thing that ive discovered, is that before i started using a food scale i had always overestimated the size in ounces of my meat portion. i used to go by the size of my palm (minus fingers) to equal 3 - 4 oz. but i was waaayy off and guess i have small hands LOL but the downturn was that i wasnt getting as much protein as i thought i was. so be careful with eyeballing your food!! works for a little while, but may need to upgrade to a scale later on

Wait, seriously? You don't measure up to the rim on cups that have that dip...? (I knew that you weren't supposed to "overflow", but I was sure that you measured to the rim....)

Another:
From your menu plan, you’ll now know what foods and ingredients you need to make it through the week. Make your grocery list and stick to it . Grocery shopping is your first opportunity to break some bad nutritional habits. You can’t eat chips, cookies, or cakes if you don’t have them in the house – so don’t buy them and you’ll avoid any future temptation.

I just bought myself a scale today and was excited about trying it out.

I cut a piece of meat, saying to myself, this is what I think an ounce is, I wonder what it actually weighs?

Put it on the scale and got .95 ounces.

So either I have a good eye for weighing meat, or I'm just lucky. Haven't tried it for any other food yet. I may end up being way off on grains or something.

But at least I have a fair idea that I probably haven't been greatly underestimating my meat intake.

Hi man,
There is a fountain of youth. Millions have discovered it - the secret to feeling better and living longer. It's called staying active. Finding a program that works for you and sticking with it can pay big dividends. Regular exercise can prevent or delay diabetes and heart trouble. It can also reduce arthritis pain, anxiety and depression. It can help older people stay independent.

Thank you
