Dropping the extra "padding" =)

Hello new diary and readers,

I have been on the forum on and off. I have lost weight and gained back some. The good thing is overall it has been a net loss.

I have gained weight over the past year and standing at 4ft 11" I am at 115 lbs- which is not good at all for my small frame. I feel "fat" and lethargic. I can FEEL the fat in my face, that's how bad it is, lol.

My goal is to get down to 100 lbs. The lowest I have ever gone is 107lbs and even then I had some flab shedding to do.

Right now, the immediate goal is to get down to my original weight, which was 110 lbs a couple months ago. Why the rise in weight? Bad eating habits and have started a graduate program- so lots of time on the chair or being non-active.

I have to say I am lacking in motivation and discipline but know it is possible. I am in need of support and advice and I hope I can get some here.

So I woke up, ate breakfast, got showered and now in the next ten to fifteen minutes I plan to leave for the gym. I have a Skype meeting at 1 pm. I hope today is productive as yesterday was my down/*off* day. I am in school until April but need to find a job by then, ideally. Have five more months. December is a write-off.

I have been having trouble eating healthy and in small portions over the weekend but have slowly been incorporating more veggies into my diet. I have been taking black tea to school (minus milk and sugar). I don't know if I can do that with my coffee. We will have to experiment and see. My goal for the end of this week, i.e. Nov 4th is 113 lbs.

My goal for the end of Nov is 110 lbs.

Ideally I would like to lose 2 lbs per week, which would amount to 107 lbs- but I am going to try to stick with a lb per week.

My plan of action is exercise 3 times per week (at least 2 days if I am really busy) and healthier eating. There is little else I can do with school. This month is insane as well.

Wish me luck :)

GW for week: 113 lbs

Weigh in: Nov 4 (every Friday)

Reasons for wanting to lose weight/ why this is important to me:

Basically a confidence booster

To feel good about myself and about my body

So that I can walk into a store and *want* to try clothes on - no tummy or flab to worry about

So that I feel comfortable in my own skin at parties or out with friends- don't want or have to compare myself with anyone

So that I feel comfortable interviewing with an employer

So that I feel comfortable around my partner/spouse/bf/ boys in general

Healthier lifestyle

More energy!!!

I have started weight tracking with a friend. He has to gain weight and I have to lose. My goal for the end of the month is 109 lbs. May be a bit ambitious. My healthy eating and regular exercise starts tomorrow. I will start a dedicated food and exercise journal that I can carry with me at all times. Goal for Nov 11th is 113 lbs flat.

Went for 3 miles on eliptical yesterday- have eaten relatively healthy today and yesterday- the only exception being a chocolate covered granola bar (140 cals) and some hazelnut spread (I am sure it killed me). I am hoping to wean myself off of chocolate and other high-sugar foods.

The goal for Friday, Nov 11th is 113 lbs. I hope I can hit it. I am off my period so tomorrow's weigh-in should be accurate.

Ok so I weighed in today at 114lbs. I am down from my SW of 116.4 lbs. My goal for next Friday, Nov 18th, is 112lbs.
