I looked at those pics and really couldn't see the change. My son could but I guess I'm picky. I have lost 3 inches off my waist and am wearing 38 inch waist jeans comfortably again. I have a pair of 34" Levi 501's standing by :)
 
It's hard to look at yourself and see small differences unless they are drastic, most of us concentrate on certain features that we dislike and can't see the overall picture very well.

You're smaller overall and less "round" for lack of a better word. I think once you get past a certain point the changes will become more obvious to your eyes.

To me the clothes thing is huge. I could care less what the scale says, the truth is in the buttoning of the pants. :)
