I am new to the website... When I was younger and went through a weight loss phase during my life I used a lot of support from forums, so I was hoping that maybe if I tried that again I could get back on track with my weight!
I am going to simply track here what I eat and exercise and encourage anyone else who wants to participate to update as well.
First let me try and explain how I track my eating...
I always - ALWAYS - like to be aware of how many calories I'm intaking per day. Yes, I know, there's MORE to weight loss than the amount of calories you put in your mouth, but honestly, I've seen the numbers on the scale go up from pigging out on broccoli, and as portion control is my biggest mountain, I always try to watch the cals. Each day, I try not to go over 1500 calories. HOWEVER.... I usually break this habit and will go over. SO I just try to make sure that I average about 1500 calories/day in a week (meaning 10,500 calories for a total 7 day week). I also aim to do at minimum 30 minutes of cardio 4-6 times per week and weight training at least twice a week. Luckily usually I go over the minimums for exercise, my hugest problem is eating so lots of support would be appreciated there!
So if I am randomly updating like average calories or calorie deficits or surplus' now you know what I'll be talking about!

So this week, and the reason I'm starting up on the forum, I've been having some troubles. I am in the process of moving and I am surrounded by TONS of family members now. The PROBLEM with this is that all my family members always want to take me out to eat! I'm not joking. This is like a daily thing. And I have been kind of down the past few weeks and turning to comfort foods way too much, and I'm noticing a pretty significant weight gain. I want to turn this around RIGHT now and get straight back down to my average weight (125-130) or maybe even lower. Right now I'm too nervous to step on the scale, but I'm guestemating that I am somewhere around 145. I'll get a more accurate figure asap!
This week:
Sun: 2300 calories (ick!)//1 hour on the elliptical
Mon: 1700 calories (double ick!)//no workout
What are your goals? Motivating stories?
