Do you really need to lose weight to lose weight
Yes
, because i have a treadmill, and i would like to use it, but i have four siblings and it would be weird since i havent told them i want to lose weight. So should i just use it or can i just not exercise and just diet?
Funnily enough, I'm in a very similar position: I have four, very active, siblings, all of whom are skinny as rakes. I've always been the bigger, lazier one, and they're all a little shocked when I started eating better and told them I was starting to lose weight.
I'm about a big a fan of exercise as a turkey is to Thanksgiving (lolol timelyreference) but I've been trying to do a bit here and there where I can. Invariably I end up sore and exhausted and fatigued and about ready to collapse from the sheer strain of it: but each day I get a little bit faster, a little bit stronger, and take a bit more control of my life.
I'd say that most of my weight loss so far has come from the way I changed my diet, but that the greater level of self-confidence and just plain happiness that I have resulted from exercise. I'm not happy that I can't eat my favourite foods all day, but I am happy that I'm feeling better about myself.
None of that made much sense, but what I'm trying to say is that you shouldn't 'not' exercise just because of other people, be they siblings or strangers. It's your body, and if you want to feel better, use the treadmill. If you just want to lose the weight, and you're really averse to using it, then don't: but your results may disappoint you.
