disabled us marine needs to loose lbs and maintain

i was injared in iraq i have 2 bad knees, bad back, and a sholder that was dislocated and still giving me trouble. ive been out of the marine corps for over 6 months now and i dont fit into any of my uniforms which upsets me im 183 lbs and i need to be back down to 150s. my injuries happed oct of 2009 and the way the marine corps handles injured personel is by making the problems worse. what are ways for me to loose lbs and maintain without making my injuries worse?

ive quit drinking soda im drinking water and power aid
im watching what i eat and hardly eat ( due to watching my son during the day)
i quit smoking a year ago today


any help would be great

Poweraid really isn't good for you unless you're in the middle of intense exercise. And by intense, I mean when you're sweating profusely. Otherwise, the sugar in it is just as bad a soda.

Well, firstly, you should definitely see a physiotherapist for your injuries. As a marine, you should have coverage for that, correct?

Other than that, you should be doing low-impact exercises. Swimming would be good, if you're shoulder can get better enough for that. Cycling is often easy on the knees as well. Lastly, just take a really good review of your diet.
 
will take that under advisement thank you mabe ill get a membership to the ymca for the pool and the gym. mabe i should listen to my sister who is a dietian this time.
