DIETING AGAIN. 217 to 155.. back to 170.

So, Last year I decided I was a big fat cow and needed a change. I was on the right track. I went from 217 to 155 in about 4 months, diet and exercise. Then it came to the holidays [birthdays, thanksgiving, christmas.. ugh] I really lost track. Lots of stress >_< Anyhow, I gained 15lbs.. not as much as I thought I had gained, but still more than I wanted to. I would LOVE to be around 130. So, mark my word, March 27th 2008 is the day I'm really going to change my life. :) 40lbs lighter, here I come!!

By the way, I am 5'8", currently 170.

[P.S. Sorry about the topless progress pictures, I did the best I could to cover up, but they were for my own file.. wasn't planning on sharing them until now.]

wow, 62 lbs in 4 months??? i cant believe you lost that much in 4 month.. I hope you didnt do it the wrong way...thats alot of weight in that time...what did you do?????
At least your starting now before you reach the 200s again!!! Good luck to you, you should be to your goal very soon:)

Wow, you had some great progress.

I'd also be interested in hearing how you went about it?

Also, what are you going to change this time around to make sure the weight leaves for good?

I know for sure you can get to your goal weight if you work hard enough, anyone can. But definitely great progress in your first set!
 
Christmas definitely "the most wonderful time of the year"...but not for dieters! LOL. You'll definitely get back down and then some. You seem motivated and I am sure you will make it stick. Good Luck!

Diet was pretty boring, usually consisted of fruit [like a grapefruit] or a yogurt smoothie for breakfast [I'm usually not too hungry when I wake up], tuna on rye bread and either cooked carrots or a yogurt for lunch, and soup or a salad for dinner. I always ate a Luna Bar before my workout. In between meals I snacked on fresh fruit or veggies and after dinner, I usually ate frozen cherries. I also chewed a lot of gum to curb cravings [I LOOOOOVE chocolate :\], Orbit White.. my teeth are a pretty shade of white now, haha.

The biggest thing was going to the gym 4-5 times a week, doing 80% cardio, 20% weight training.


I won't be changing much, just need to stay on track and not let myself get depressed, which usually ends up in emotional eating and not getting to the gym :\

Good luck with your weight loss - I just wanted to write because I have similar goals to you, I am about the same height and ideally I would love to be 132 pounds or thereabouts.

I see that one of the members here started out by doing elliptical training every day for 30 mins and also doing some running one mile on a treadmill. I went to the gym myself for 1 month every day and gained 2kgs. But I will try sticking to a mainly cardio workout.

Just wanted to say hello because we both share a similar weight goal. Hang in there!
 
Damn work it work it... NO NO! jk :D you look SAAAWWEEEEEEEEEEETTTT :D You shouldn't do so much cardio like 25-35 mins and more weights because muscle eats fat like honey bunches of oats :D But in my opinion you look DAMN fine! Almost hypnotic o_O Keep up the work because it's worth it :]!!!
