Diet questions?

Ok, today is day 3.....serious training and dieting. As of yesterday I started keeping track of calories. Found out i'm eating too few, yesterdays total 1,000 calories. I need to be eating 1600 calories. Today, I did better, 1 cup plain yogurt, 1 cup high protien cereal, 1 low carb hig protien bar, 3 ounces turkey, 1 small apple. It is 3 p.m. and I am starving, this started happening when I started working out. Question is what do I grab to tide me over until supper? Carbs, protien another bar?

I am a 36 year old female, 5 feet 2 inches tall 10-15 pounds over weight. Trying to loose weight and achieve muscle definition and get rid of the flabby abs.

Thanks

You need to be eating EVERY 2-3 hours. If you are starving you are not eating frequently enough. Try and get protein in with every meal as well as some complex carbs. Don't try a low carb diet on a weight lifting plan, you will need the energy. Also get an omega supplement. I highly recommend MRM Smart Blend promoted by Charles Poliquin because it has all 3 omegas as well as CLA and GLA. This is a must as far as I am concerned for toning up. Keep yourself well hydrated at all times. And make sure you are on a good weight training program. Keep the questions coming if you wish.

good luck

What I mean by that is something that meets your needs specifically. A regiment that will fit in with your schedule and resources. Look at the article listing at bodybuilding.com or bodybuildingpro.com and check out some of the variations. Not all the workouts on those sites are for bodybuilding, so don't fret about that. Also, there are a myriad of programs all over the net and in magazines that can help. There is no one perfect regiment, take what you can from multiple workout regiments in order to customize one that fits your needs.
