Diet for me?

I'm very sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, i checked around didn't really see anything besides the "New Here" (Hi! Btw). I'm 19 and i weigh around 223, i'm about 5'11"-6'1", I haven't really checked in awhile, anyways i used to run about a mile a day do about 20 pushups,50 jumping jacks and eat properly ( or try too) I would eat Lean Cuisine,tuna,fruit etc, I stopped dieting recently cause i picked up a job at walmart as an overnight stocker, I've been working there for about 4 months. It's pretty tough, i'm walking around alot, doing alot of heavy lifting, but i wanted to lose more weight now sorta as a late new years resolution. Now i come to you guys to ask where should i start? I work 10 pm-7 am, I sleep around 8 hours wake up don't eat anything, go to work, maybe drink a gatorade or something during my break, i'll go to lunch around 2 AM, from there i don't really know what to eat or do. If i were to start a new diet, where would i begin? I don't really know any dieting talk i don't really understand how calories work...but i'm trying my best right now, i figured the first start would be to come here. SO i was wondering what should i eat when i wake up and for lunch? Since i will probably only have about 2-3 meals a day. What should i shop for when i'm shopping for groceries? Also don't really know if it helps but i have Kinect and Wii fit, do those actually work? I just got them recently. Sorry for rambling hopefully you guys can help me and hopefully i did put this in the right place (Terribly sorry if i did).

P.S I'm a guy, i just like Rihanna, lol..
 
For one week, write down everything you eat. You have to be fully honest with it, down to a piece of gum or M&M. If you know the calories (prepackaged or such) write it. after one week, you can look back and see what changes needs to be made. You can exercise all you want but unless you do it for like 6 hours a day, it won't effect your weight loss anywhere as near as adjusting your diet will.
