Diary of an Army wife...

My name is Sarah and I am an overweight army wife. I had a baby about 9 months ago and lost weight when I was pregnant and looked great. Then after I had her I started packing on pounds! I'm at my heaviest now...180 lbs and 5'3. My husband does not like the idea of daycare so I have no time to go workout since I am always with my daughter. So I pretty much sit at home with her all day and eat. My mom tried a new weight loss product called Thermal Z and lost 30 lbs in one month so I thought I would try it. I am now on week one and lost 3 lbs. For me that's awesome considering I haven't worked out at all. It really makes it so you are not hungry all the time. I will keep you guys updated on my progress...I was skeptical about this product since all weight loss pills promise the same thing but this one seems to be working great right now!!! Wish me luck on getting this weight off!!! :patriot:

It will work for a while but long term, it's not a healthy or realistic way to maintain weight-loss. You're better off exercising at home and cutting calories rather than continuing not exercising and not improving your fitness or anything. Can you not do a exercise DVD at home and just buy more healthy stuff rather than just taking a pill?

Anyway, welcome to the forum and good luck but the majority of users on this forum are anti weight loss products! :p

I agree with sunflower, it's not very healthy! And losing weight is fairly easy if you eat healthy and do a bit of exercise - you don't have to do much. At first I only started off doing 50 mins about 5 times a week. I'd recommend doing an exercise dvd, i'd recommend Vicky Entwhistle's WOW (Weight Off Workout), it's pretty easy to follow, no fancy moves, lasts about 50 minutes and it works! Also you should really be changing your diet rather than taking pills, i'm not an expert but I don't think its very healthy. If you change you diet you could get into a good routine with good eating habits!

Good luck with your journey anyhow! :)

Hi,

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on losing that 3lbs - it's an excellent start.

Personally I don't vibe with taking pills or following meal replacement plans etc but saying that I do know people who have done and it's worked for them.

What is your diet like? Do you normally eat healthily? The weather is getting good you should take your baby out walking in the pram. Walk off a few calories and get plenty of fresh air for you and your baby - will do you both the world of good!

Good luck and I look forward to hearing how your getting on x
