Hey hey.
Today is the first day of my weight shredding efforts, my plan is pretty harsh but it's all based on bits pieces that have worked for me in the past.
In college, i hit around 15st (I'm 5ft 9") and then over the course of about a year and a half i managed to get down to around 11st 7lbs. I'd like to say it was all done ethically but i started smoking a lot to surpress my appetite during the evenings (I certainly do not recommend or condone this), alongside a weight regime at the gym around four times a week.
A few years later and I've just touched 14 stone, having been around 12 stone only 7 months ago.
So, let's be on with it then.
1 - I aim to lose 30lbs. I'm currently 198lbs, those of you who are numerically blessed will know my target weight is 168lbs.
2 - Hopefully i can hit 168lbs in about 6 months. (End of June 2013)
3- I'll be doing the following to hit these targets:
WORKOUTS
- High Intensity interval training 6 nights a week for the first 7 weeks (40-60 minute sessions)
- Resistance, yoga and cardio training 6 nights a week for the remaining weeks (40-60 minute sessions)
- 40 minutes swimming twice a week (lunch hour)
- 40 minutes weights twice a week (lunch hour)
DIET
- 28 day body detox (no dairy, meat, alcohol, wheat or any of that awesome stuff I love)
- Low carb diet, 400cal meals 5 times a day (might even start using food blocks if i feel all fancy)
- I MAY look into using meal replacement shakes if research tells me to and I feel like spending £100 on food drinks, which i don't, but i might.
SUPPORT
- Generally I have my boss at work who comes to the gym to do weights with me at lunch, and now this forum for support. My girlfriend and mother are far too nice to agree with the fact that I've put weight on, and therefore don't really want to get in the "we support you losing weight" boat, as that would mean they would have to admit I've gotten chubby to start with..
Ok so hopefully that's answered enough questions about myself and given enough outlines and info to update on in the future. A big thanks to Jen Renee and Trusylver for pointing me to the diary and thanks for reading.
I'll keep you posted and good luck in your own journey,
Deck
