deadlifts with shrugs

Hi i want to incorporate deadlifts into my workout and i read about deadlifts with explosive shrugs. Seems like a good idea to me coz it will save time and i wont have to do both exec separetly. My question is how do u perform deadlifts and shurgs togather, and what does it mean by explosive. I have some idea but i want to be sure.

Another question I have is how should i do Squats. I dont have a rack/cage or support bars high enough for squats, im just confused about how to bring heavy weight over my dead and rest on my traps and perform squats. Secondly how would i bring the weight down.

please explain and let me know what technique u guyz use.

just deadlift but at the top of the movement don't stop and do a power shrug with the momentum gained from the deadlift. as for squats a squat rack is best. squat with a straight back and keep your knees in the same position throughout the movement (don't bring them forward). go until your hamstrings are parallel with the ground then squat back up.

Better to separate the two exercises. Your Dead form will not suffer this way (assuming you are doing them right). I use more weight for Shrugs than Deads anyway. And if you are wanting to work your Tris with this, wait until there is NO momentum left in the Dead, THEN Shrug slowly.
