I guess I'm not very good at keeping a food journal, so I'll just keep you updated every week or so on my pounds lost, what I've eaten on that particular day, and exercise I've done.
Today is day 9...my starting weight on day 1 was 226
Weight today: 222
So I've had a four pound weight loss...not as much as I would like to have had BUT better than nothing or than gaining weight right?
Here's what I've eaten today:
Breakfast: 1 piece plain toast
Lunch: serving size of prezels (11)
Dinner: 1/2 cup peas
So no fruits today, but I usually eat an orange, grapefruit, banana..etc.
I actually did my first day of exercise today, too. I exercised while watching a workout DVD for 20 minutes. Boy, I am out of shape!! That wore me out. But what's cool is, my 5 year old son did it with me! ...well the best he could, lol. It was cute. I like to let him be aware of healthy eating and exercise. You see, when I was growing up, nobody told me that whatever I ate made me the size that I was. I thought I was just cursed with a bigger body, I had no idea that the food I was putting into it was causing me to be bigger. I just loved food and ate as much of it as I wanted to. It wasn't until I was about 11 when my sister told me that the amount and type of food that I ate was making me fat. Nice to know!! So anyways, I don't tell my son he's fat or anything, he's not. I tell him what the healthy foods are and that by eating those instead of the non healthy foods, he will get big muscles and be stronger. I also tell him that by eating healthy along with exercise, he will be even stronger.
Anyways, day 9, and I've had a 4lb weight loss. I hope to kick things into a higher gear and start working out everyday. Next time I post, I hope to be able to tell you that I've had better weight loss!! Wish me luck!!!
