Day 1 (My first post here :))

Hi all! I guess I should spend a little time introducing myself.

I'm 34 years old (soon 35) and I've been overweight from the 3rd grade. I've had lots of chances to lose weight and did do quite well (the most I've lost is 40 kgs from my highest weight of 175 kg), and I usually lost quite a bit of weight in the past few summers, but as soon as fall began, the weight would start to creep back up.

I'm 183 cm (6 foot) tall. Currently I weigh 152 kg but I have made it this month's mission to lose enough weight on the scale to be under 146 kg by the end of October.

My diet regimen usually entails calorie counting, and I have been holding steady to a 16,000 calorie limit per week (about 2280 calories per day on average) so far this week. I also try to fast regularly, sometimes up to 24 hours at a time. The real problem I have is getting the motivation to exercise outside of the 7000 or so steps I walk each day (thanks, Microsoft Band!). I have access to a treadmill, but I really want to start incorporating strength training.

I found this website probably last year, but I started looking through my old bookmarks today and rediscovered it. I'm really enjoying reading what everyone is posting, so I felt it would only be fair to share!

I am looking forward to meeting some people here that would be interested in sharing their results with me (and vice versa) so that we could keep each other on track. I look forward to hearing from any newbies as well as any regulars.

Cheers! :)

Welcome aboard. Are there any activities that you've enjoyed in the past? Try to take it slow until you get back in the swing of things and good luck.
