Dawn's Fresh Start

I don't know if anybody remembers me, but I was here awhile back - probably close to a year ago now. But then we got my step-sons for the summer and my work schedule changed some and I got derailed. Big time. I was down 30 pounds - from 217 to 185. The only not so bad part is, I only gained 14 of it back. Could have been worse. Could have been better - I could be at goal by now, but, what's done is done and it's just time to start over.

To answer the questions:

1. How much weight do you want to loose? I want to loose 54 pounds, which would bring me to 145 pounds. At 5'7", I don't think that's a bad goad weight.

2. What is the timeframe for reaching your goal weight? Ideally, I'd like to be at goal by the time my birthday comes around. That's the middle of October, and I'll be 31.

3. How do you want to accomplish your goal? I'll be exercising and following SparkPeople's recommendations for diet.

4. Who or what can support you in reaching your goal? I'm really hoping to find some support here. Nobody else at my house (which is just really me and the hubby most of the time) is concerned with their weight, so getting them to understand is hard.:banghead:

5. How realistic is your goal? I think it is very realistic. I just have to stick to the plan and not let little setbacks cause bigger problems.

6. When will you start? I started at 5:30am this morning when I left the house for work.

Current height and weight:
5'7" and 199lbs.

Thanks. Congratulations on your 5.6 pounds so far!

I was sooo totally not prepaired for work food-wise today. I packed my cereal and milk. I packed a Lean Cuisine lunch, but forgot completely about snacks. Did you know that 3 Musketeers now come in mint and dark chocolate and the entire bar is only 150 cal? Yeah...it snuck up on me and was in my hand when I went in the gift shop for a Dt. Dr Pepper. Ugh. Oh well. Day's not over, lunch is around the corner, and then home for a workout and supper. I hope in that order.

Thanks!

I love Dr. Pepper so f'n much. It's a compulsion. If I had a 2L bottle it wouldn't last 10 minutes. :D Hope the rest of your day works out as planned!

The part that sucks about increasing your water intake, is that it also increases your trips to the potty. I swear, I've been to pee probably 5 times more today than normal. LOL

Not sure why I felt the need to share that...

it's part of that master plan to get in 10K steps a day... half of them are to the bathroom :)

Don't worry -the need to pee every 10 minutes goes away after about 2 weeks - and you go withmore volume - less often :)
