wEll.... I haven't really lost much.
I have a lot of enthusiasm for losing weight, but not much for exercising. I know what I need to do, but I need to get my head in the game. I've been reading and learning all about weight loss, without properly executing my plans.
:banghead: ....... :cuss:
that is all.

well good luck i`m sure u`ll manage it in the end. i`ve found i`ve lost the same amount in weeks where i havent exercised alot. so i think aslong as u put the right things in your mouth it should work for you, but its all about working towards smaller portions and cutting out unhealthy foods so if u have the nollege now just put it to good use .

I think there is always one aspect you'll enjoy more: diet or exercise. Education and learning about it is also a huge part of it. When I initially started this 2 years ago, I did sooooo much reading and researching a lot. It was my first time so I knew I was learning a lot along with the exercise I was doing and making better eating choices. But I think it was A LOT all at once. It had to be more gradual for me. This time around I'm remembering a lot of the things I learned the first time around and working them into my routine. What I'm trying to say it's tough to get it all right all at once so just start with one thing and master it. If you enjoy just researching and learning about it, do that along with cleaning up your eating habits. Work on the exercise later. When you see the weight dropping just from eating better, you'll be encouraged to do more (aka exercise) because you'll want the results faster. The exercise will come! You're trying and trying is better than nothing :)

Congrats on the workout! That's a fabulous job! I think gohomejes and the others have made great points- sometimes there are only certain aspects of it that you particularly like. I find exercise sometimes the hardest part! It takes me time to get into a routine and really enjoy doing it.

You might want to try switching up the cardio with some strength training some days. For me, the strength training is the only thing I really enjoy!

good luck! And remember- you can do this! You've already lost a great amount of weight, if you keep going, you're going to see a lot of changes!

I know the feeling! I hit a wall about a week ago. I stopped exercising for about 9 days. I was incredibly lazy and I gained 5lbs. For me, the diet part is easy but getting off my butt is the hard part. I find that once I get into a daily routine I'm more motivated to exercise. If I break the routine just for one day, I'm off the wagon for a while.

Well done with the treadmill! Ever 30mins goes a long way! :)

Hey Monster :) just checking in to see how you're doing!
Pretty good.
after exercising a few times.. I'm getting more enthusiast about it.
It was hard for me to get into my groove, but I'm getting there... slowly.
Once I build up some endurance I'll really be excited. but I am looking forward to it.

That's good! I find that once I get into the exercise groove I start to enjoy it :) I also find that once I fall off, it's easier for me to get back in the exercise groove than the diet groove -_-

Exercise has been the hard part for me this time around...I've always enjoyed it before, not sure why I'm in such a slump but I got up and did it this morning and feel good for it..so hopefully this is a good start for both of us!

Congrats on the loss so far!

found it....you can't escape me!! MUUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

some days you want to say dammit, other days you want to say:
DOUBLE DAMN IT!
My weight is higher than I expected it to be.. but.. well... just gotta keep going.
Yup, it's one of those days...... doing to do laundry right now to burn off some of the anger....
I'm going to work out later.... yeah.. I will...
....
so.. anyway.. I made a deal with my mom that after I lose 20-30 lbs.... I'll get my dad's old Chuck Norris workout machine... can't think of the name right now... yeah.. and I'm frustrated knowing that I'm not any closer to getting it.. but really I am.
Maybe I haven't lost too much weight this week, but I am building endurance, so that's something.

Hey Monster

I know how discouraging it can be to work hard and not see the numbers go down..but don't fret! Stay positive! Every healthy food choice and every time you exercise - you are putting yourself closer to a goal!

It won't be an easy or quick task, but neither was putting on the weight! Everything goal worth reaching, is worth working for!

You're a smart guy! AND you are determined! You 1hour work out today proves you can do this! It proves that you ARE building endurance, and that you do have the stamina, power, and drive to push yourself to 1 hour!! AN HOUR!! That's a hell of a long time!! AND YOU DID IT!

Keep the chin up champ! You can do this! And we're here to help you!

Kitty gives you a high five!

Hey, Tik... this journal entry was written about 2 hours before I did my work out.
Thanks for the encouragement, but I was able to use my anger to help me do a great workout! yay!

Congrats! silly me, you've got this cover! sprouting with anger is the perfect way to get a workout in!

nice work monster :)

Thanks!!! and for those that are interested, I use music to help motivate me. I don't do it the traditional way.. What I do is use music to reward myself for working out. If I work out for 5 minutes, I'll start a song... then I have to work out for another 5 mins. after that song ends to "earn" another song. It works pretty well, and helps me break up my workout a bit also.
...
Oh.. and I had another look at the total fitness machine, and it's not the basic model! It's more expensive one!!!! yay!!!! bonus points!

Cool Monster :) I like what you do with the music -- I am a total music addict so I think I'll give it a try the next time I'm on the treadmill.
