Cutting Questions

Now knowing there is no such thing as spot reduction, is it possible to target specific areas that need work? Say I have a fatty chest, wouldn't cardio such as swimming, boxing, rowing tighten my chest while burning calories and therefore produce better results. Some stats on me, 190lbs, 6'02" guessing body fat of 12-14%. I'm looking to tighten up and define my mindsection (abs, chest, back) and get down under a body fat % of 10. Thanks for all the help and information. I am surprised at how interesting I have found nutrition, bodybuilding, etc.

Well, doing activities that target areas where you have excess fat will help tone those muscles, which could slightly improve the appearance even with the same amount of fat covering the muscle. But it won't remove the fat just from that area, which you already knew.

Judging from your height, weight, and estimation of bodyfat (sounds like you're fairly slender, just need a little more fat off soem trouble spots?)...you probably need to clean up your diet more than anything.

ya just gotta duke it out for as long as it takes for the fat to melt off the areas you wish.
Its possible you could cut for a week or even two and lose majority of the fat off just your legs and barely anywhere else.

Just be patient and it will all come.
