Cutting Back

The entire month of Jan I was hitting the gym hard 5 days a week. Recently I purchased a Men's Fitness ab guide book and it recommends working out 3 days a week. That doesn't seem often enough....is it? I was going M, T, W, Th, Sat. So I've decided to cut back to T, W, Th, Sat.

Thoughts?
 
I go 5 times per week too. seems fine to me. but then I'm no expert either.I go upper/lower split, day off , and cycle it that way. May change that to new hours for work but thats been the way I have been doing it since December..
 
It all depends on what your doing in the gym while your there. I do cardio 7 days per week when cutting, but weight train only 4.

It also depends on how much cardio and weights you are doing. You shouldnt be maxing out everyday and every time you lift while running 20 miles before and after...anyway, I'm sure you get the picture
