I'm currently 5'3" and 143 lb, however I wish to return to my former weight of 115 lb. My weight reached it's current state due to a combination of switching to a more typical US diet to cut costs (my monthly food budget is about $30-50, often less) and a lousy hip which causes difficulty in being active.
Little eating habit things:
- I cannot consume dairy for the most part, however it's in everything.
- My favorite foods are eel, squid/octopus tentacles, grasshoppers, scorpions, and anything barbecue.
- I love eating bugs. Best to state so up front I guess, as I practice working with them more perhaps I'll compile some recipes for the more adventurous. They are a very healthy source of protein with very little cholesterol and other drawbacks of red meat... the only drawbacks I can find are that safe sources are hard to find and social stigma.
- I tend never to feel full, even after overeating.
- I grew up on a traditional Japanese diet because my grandmother is an immigrant. I'm not really quite sure HOW I should be eating western foods or how much.
Some Goals:
- Remove dairy almost entirely. No matter how delicious cheese is, it's not worth the pain.
- Find an affordable way to eat properly. TV dinners and Ramen is not a diet for anyone
- Lose 20-25 lb by January 2010. (preemptive new year's resolution!)
- Become more active.
Hopefully with this commitment I will be able to finally win against the weight, at least setting forth with the intent is a start.
