Creatine with running?

I read some where once that its is not recommended to take creatine before a run be cause it can cause cramping. Anyone experienced this?

I just took creatine tonight before my run and I felt fine. So I'm feeling this myth is debunked.

Your fine. Best time to take creatine though would be after your workout though. :)

Creatine is better used for anaerobic activity, and running is aerobic. If your a sprinter, then it would be good to supplement...if your diet is good like I said in the other post.

I say post workout because, simple put, your body absorbs more and better. Supplements like creatine stay in your system too, it's not like a quick fix that you need to take before your workout, it's still in your system if you go workout the next day...and so on.

It's not debunked because you didn't exprience anything.

I get indigestion and bloating sometimes when I take it raw.
I'm not saying its totally debunked because of one instance I didn't experience anything, I just feel its not as big as issue as I was expecting.

Creatine is not "better", it has only seen to benefit quick high intensity training like weightlifting.

And how can it be better after, when the whole point of taking it is so you benefit from the training itself.

After about five weeks of taking creatine youve reached the most benefit you can, helping the body synthesize and regenerate ATP more numerously.

Resurrecting this old topic, creatine is not a "temporary pump" or the like, but rather is a nutrient stored in the body, taking creatine simply increases that store. Taking it post-workout can be beneficial because your body is in a state where it can absorb these nutrients better.
