Wishing speedy healing for the folks in your sick bay and congratulations on a major drop!

Good evening everyone. Sorry I've been missing in action the last week but I've been busy busy busy and then yesterday had a revelation. I'm that long putting everyone else's needs before my own, I've forgotten how to say no.
Anyways, M is still recovering from his tonsillitis and my uncle has come to stay with me (I have suspicions that he is settling in for the winter ).
So the fantastic news is despite all the busyness I am weighing in at 91.1KG this morn. A 1KG loss for the week. So needless to say I'm delighted with myself.
My food today was Porridge for breakfast, Chicken & Veg soup with a slice of buttered soda bread for lunch and Spag Bol for tea.
I them managed to get my mam to call out and stay with my uncle (he is still fitting a bit so don't want leaving him on his own) and I went for a 2hr walk over the beach with dog.
I took a picture to upload but I can't figure it out. I'll have to investigate it later.
Have a great night everyone

No need for apologies in here Sybil. You have your hands full! Learning to say no is an art. Well done on the 1kg loss :)

Afternoon all. OK, life is starting to settle down at last. I did nothing last week, and the food wasn't great so needless to say I didn't lose any weight but I didn't but any on either so I'm happy with that.
Today I have walked 5k and I went to the gym. I have to say I absolutely loved the gym today. It is really hard to motivate myself to go in but once I get in, I'm grand. So my workout looked like this
15 squats 2 reps
15 Dumbbell shoulder press 2 reps
15 Wide grip Lat pull downs 2 reps
15 Lunges 2 reps
8 Swissball sit ups 2 reps
I warmed up with 10mins on the cross trainer
After that I did a full stretch and then plonked myself in the Jacuzzi (my favourite bit) and had a great chat with a few people.
Breakfast was a bowl of porridge
Lunch will be soup & rice cakes
Dinner will be bacon, cabbage and mash

I've done something I've wanted to do for years. I've organised private swimming lessons for myself. I'm self taught so I tend to half swim half drown my way up a pool. Anyways, I have problems with my ears so earplugs are a must. Problem is I can't hear with the earplugs and pools are a noisy place so I have problems hearing an instructor. So my brother sent me over a present of surf ear ear plugs, which I have to say are great. I can hear with them. So I'm starting my lessons on Thursday morn. 30mins instruction a week. I'm very excited about it. I love the water, just not keen on swimming pools. So the aim is to work in the pool over the winter and then next Spring be in a position that I can do open water swimming (I am surrounded by lakes, rivers and the sea). Anyways, that's my plans.

That´s awesome! Thanks for the surfer earplug tip, I´ve been looking for something that´s let me swim regularly but most ear plugs I´ve found are rubbish.

Great effort with organising the swimming :) and the 5k walk

a couple of questions, when you type reps do you actually mean sets, if so is there a particular reason to be working in the endurance rep range ?
