I am a 24 years old girl. I still call myself a girl, I feel like that and I look like a very young girl. People always think I am 18 or something.. >.>" I am very short, around 5 feet? I don't know the exactly measurement. The only measurement I know is my weight. I am fat since 12 years old or something.
I have tried a couple times to lose weight... but I always fail within two weeks... Cause if I cheated with food... I feel I am not doing well and then I will let myself go and eat like I have never eaten before... So yeah.. Very bad.. -_-"

This time I know I can't give up that easily... I will try not to be a perfectionist (for I am not perfect).. If I cheated once (a little piece of snack).. I have to get back on track the other day.. Cause I know if I wait too long... I won't able to come back anymore and will have to wait for another time (when I feel like) to start my weight loss journey again...

People here really inspiring me to lose weight, so I signed up. Hopefully I can do the same after my total weight loss. I will post before & after pictures then. I promise!!



I hope to reach 99 lbs/45 kg in 6 months.

My program:
Each day taking around 1000-1200 kilocalories of food and doing dance dance revolution each day for one hour....
(not that I really do this exercise every day... >.>")


What really motivates to keep going is to write a little report every day and save it in a map.
I have diary map yes... With nice picture and stuff.. It feels great to work like a pro, using maps and so on.. It totally motivates me... =]

Have any questions or suggestions feel free to ask or give...

Next time, I will post tips (some I made up and some other tips are from other people)

My two biggest inspirations on Youtube are these two people:

shelurksinthedark --> Unfortunately her before and after video got deleted.. She was around my weight and the weight I want to be.

Tips I use (from others and from myself):
-drink water before you take your meal (breakfast, feeling hungry, lunch, dinner)
-have a BIG goal and MINI goals... like my big goal is to lose 42 lbs and mini goal is to lose 2.205 lbs a week.... it will gives you more courage to do it for another week and so on..... =)
-BREAKFAST: can eat a lot (still healthy ofcourse), LUNCH: eat normal, DINNER: eat less
-Ask God for help! Pray for it.
-don't eat after 7 p.m. (or 4 hours before sleep)
-take some little, tiny bites... enjoy your food... feel and smell the taste... eat with your mind... make your food looks very elegant, looks very properly... (will make you enjoy really the food... getting in your tummy with knowing what you are eating)
-don't watch commercials on television or leaflets
-if you are tempted to eat more, think about your new figure and know you will getting regrets from it
-don't stand in front of the windows of Kentucky Fried Chicken, MacDonalds, Pizza, Burger King or one of your favorite take aways
-if your friends are going to those places, you can eat salad with some meat or no meat... it's more expensive.. but if you want to lose weight... that's how you can deal with it..
-warming-up before you start or ends with your sport
-eat with little bowls in stead of big bowls will makes you eat less
- no, less motivation, not sure about if your work will pay off? Watch youtube, going to this forum, read magazines and see how others... what size, weight they were... they lost the weight!!!
-1 big plate with salad is really more than enough!!
-makes that you never get bored, so you don't have to eat food.
-you can combine healthy food and get tons of healthy food.. really.. you don't have to eat fat food!
-1 hour fitness too boring? shop at least 2 hours in stead.....
-if your mood is getting down..... try to shop and fit clothes in stead of eating.. it really helps... thinking about those nice clothes you always wanted to wear.. =)

I have seen so many videos on Youtube that I now believe that every one (no matter what size... 180 lbs or 160 lbs or even 700 lbs!!!!) can be (healthy) slim if they do something about it.

First week, 0st month, 2 December 2008: 141 lbs, 64 kg
1st month, 2 January 2009: 131 lbs/ 59.2 kg
2th month, 2 February 2009: 127 lbs/57.5 kg
9 December 2008: 139 lbs/63 kg
16 December 2008: 137 lbs/ 62.0 kg
23 December 2008: 136 lbs/ 61.5 kg
30 December 2008: 130 lbs/ 59.1 kg
6 January 2009: 130 lbs/59.0 kg
13 January 2009: 127 lbs/ 57.7 kg
20 January 2009: 127 lbs/57.5 kg
28 January 2009: 124 lbs/56.3 kg
4 February 2009: 127 lbs/57.5 kg
11 February 2009: 124 lbs/56.3 kg
18 February 2009: 126 lbs/57.1 kg

Welcome to the board. I am new here as well. I need to lose about 100 lbs or more. I look forward to getting to know you. :)
 
Hey I too am new here. I would love to lose 60-70 lbs. So far my plan is to eat around 1200 calories a day and situps every night. Im a young mom of 2 so getting time to work out is a challenge. Im hoping to be able to get to the gym atleast twice a week for an hour.

I always thought that being mummy can always make your weight loss.
You know.... if your children runs everywhere and you have to chase them. =P
Maybe you have some wonderful, sweet kids who can sits still... =P

I did a lot of sit ups in the beginning too.. But then I became lazy.
Now I try to loose the weight first with cardio (dancing).
After I lose a lot, I will do excercise to get everything tightener, like my belly tummy.

I think you know you can do it especially with all those tips you mentioned, I found a great tip the other day while shopping, here goes, I was hungry and nipped to the shops to get the families tea but I was concerned because I didnt want one of those oh! that will do when I get in, so I bought a bean salad. When I got home I was eating my bean salad out of the plastic container while cooking their tea and at the end of the cooking process I was full up but very pleased with myself as I served their tea, knowing I did well for the day. The day after I did my main shop and made sure I had plenty of snacky stuff in.
p. s Its not like me to buy process as I make most things [homemade] but I want to spend less time in the kitchen so I dont think about food, sorry thats my latest tip, hope it helps in some way. Also I am making a hungarian bean soup this week not only does it clean your bowels out but it speeds up your metabolic rate, I use to make it years ago with dumplings but the dumplings wont be in it this time. Let me know how you get on soon.

May be you can find some new hobbies..
I thought if I buy some Diet/Get in shape/Fit magazines will help to think less of food.. Guess what.. Those magazines are not about the weight loss, but about delicious healthy food with some certain amount of calories (still a lot I think....)

Good luck with your journey too.. I know sometimes it's very hard.. Even if I go to a party... I eat my own "healthy stuff". I don't want to screw up my diet plan because of a party.. That's what always happened before with my diets.. Let my self go at parties.... feel guilty.... stopped diet.
This time no more..

I am now on diet for almost 7 weeks.. I have never sticked to a diet for so long!!!!

What really helps is going to this forum and watching video on internet.
Also make a BIG goal and an every week goal help me keep on track...

I will definitely post my pictures after I reach my goal....
(I am already seeing some results... But love to share it when I am sure I have reached my goal =D)

I will try my best on the journey as I dont want to be doing this again, I cant believe I ever did let myself go but it was fun when I was younger not to think of vanity and enjoy myself more. Anyway I am here now at a make or break situation and like always I work better under pressure, I seem to get more done. I am trying hard not to count calories and not to get involved to much with dieting, I am trying to concentrate on healthy eating and having a new lifestyle, that why I can free my mind.
I have 2 young daughters so I take great pleasure in being a full time mum, although my mum was a full time mum, I dont want to make the mistake of not having a life, so although I enjoy cooking so much I am needing to get out more, most of my friends hate cooking but I hate processed food. I dont have any juicy tips for you esther only to listen to your body as I am today and respect what it says, eat slowly and chew your food, make colourful things with your food, eat everything in its natural state that way you will come to love and appreciate food for what it really his. Also b4 I go DONT pick up any one elses BAD habits, I have managed to shake of my hubby"s and are going strong but steady to my target weight, best of luck to you to, YOU CAN DO IT

Let me know the link to the videos you talk about Esther, this forum is my backbone 2. Your right why screw up your diet plan for the sake of a sausage roll party, you did well, I am sooooooooo proud of you girl, go for it girly.

Thanks for the links, you are so good on the computer, I am still finding my way about. Doesnt it make you sick that some people can eat anything and not put weight on, my hubby is 2 stone overweight but he isnt bothered, I cant wait to lose more weight. WOW! I just noticed that you have lost 14 Ib, I am having my doubts that I can get to 14Ib, it would be nice. After losing 6 Ib in 2 weeks, I am anxious whether I can stick to losing 2 Ib a week, or maybe even 1 Ib or none, I have given most of my devices up in the first week so hopefully I will still lose if I am not doing the old things I use to, we will see.
Yes, I shall think of you on my struggling days and give you a shout when I am just about to give up. Have a successful week, speak soon.

One bad thing is... that you may click with people, but never get to see them.. o_O It would be great if we, all the people on this forum, can live under one roof.. Helping each other to lose weight. You have made the few steps.. If you are eating less calories than you use... You WOULD ABSOLUTELY lose weight. Our body needs energy.. If it doesn't get it enough... it burns the fat/energy in us.... So we will, YOU WILL, absolutely lose weight.. if you eat a bit less than usual or doing some more exercising than usual..

I don't know if you know this already... But it's really great to pass by once, lots of tips:

Well, it seems like it.. o_O I know I can... lol... When I am typing a personal email.. I can keep going on and on.. Sometimes I even write things that should stayed on my mind.. You know.. Our mind doesn't make common sense every moment of the day. Especially when it's in the late evening.. Some people, like me, would get emotionally and would think about so many stupid things.. o_O And when I write..... I wouldn't think about it.. and before you know you already pushed the SEND button... and sometimes I regret of what I've said.. >.>"

How old are your kids actually? You must be having a lot of patience to teach and learn them well. Do your kids have a console? I wonder if the Wii Fit can help with the training...

Yes, I do like to converse that way I learn more about what makes people tick, I dont have a problem at sharing my ideas and trust very easily, I dont want to be close minded because then you have made up your mind about something so I try and be empathic to many things. Some of my friends think I am very expressive in what I say and think I should go into drama but I am no drama queen just very realistic. I dont think there is anything wrong with your thought pattern if anything I think you should try and be more confident in yourself instead of thinking that you talk to much and people dont think you have anything interesting to say, I can sense it from you you lack confidence and think nobody wants to talk to you, dont ask my why?? I just seem to think it. I also think if you could take a jotter out with you and write down your thoughts when you are not writing on the computer you will learn more about yourself, let me know your findings I am very interested.
Some times the stupid thoughts are the ones you need to dig up and make light of, these can be the most effective tool in developing yourself.
My daughters are 10 and 8 and I adore them as my 2 little best friends, I bought them both a very expensive keyboard at xmas because they have the nintendo ds lites, playstation. I want them to learn how to play, it was a toss up between a wii or a keyboard and I decided seeing that their friends where getting one, I would get them some thing to learn instead, I might consider it later on in the year. My daughter is on her 5 song now, while the other one isnt bothered, you can use the sd card for your computer and pick any trendy song also and learn to play it, you can copy your music onto a cd as well, so I wanted her to learn something with her brain for a change.
Just got back from my walk with my friend and my dog, it was cold but awesome, very refreshing and invigorating and great for the start of my week. Got to nip to the shops now speak later.

You are for 50% right..... In the past I have some discussions with friends on the internet and because I really said too much to a few people, so I hurted their feelings.. It was soon over with the contact (I know them real life). I still see them sometimes, but we aren't that close anymore..

Haha.. I bet it's my picture that makes you think that... I am not really photo-genic.. and it's a webcam picture... I don't have any pictures on this laptop right now. (Hope this one looks better) The "good" ones are on my brothers computer.. Too lazy to put in on my laptop now. But I will post them definitely after I reached my goal... I want to post them so badly..... So that also keep me motivated to keep fit.....
