Complete newbie, need a little advice

Hey all

I visited here once before and it seemed like a friendly place so I thought I could make this my home to discuss anything regarding training.
Well I had been planning on starting training for quite some time. I wanted to go to a gym for the motivation factor however I am quite selfconcious as I am a quite tall 6'1ft and skinny currently around 11 stone 11 pounds.
My friend has being going to this gym for quite some time now and he is a big very muscly lad and he said I should come because nobody would care if I am only benching 25kg etc.

Anyway I've kinda rambled on a bit too much, basically all I wanted to know is:
Ive been thinking about signing up to this only training program but I have no clue if it is any good or worth the money. It seems to match me "scrawny" and where I want to get "brawny".

I was thinking of getting the gold membership. So if you guys/gals could have a look at what the gold membership offers and let me know whether you think it would be worth investing the $97.

P.S platinum membership is way over my budget $350 a month!!

Thanks for the replies. Does it have information about what types of food I should be eating? I didn't realise the book contained it all, I bought a book before created by York. It had plenty of diagrams showing me different exercises I could do but the information didn't really help me with setting up a program and the food I should be eating.

I just phoned waterstones and reserved the last copy of scrawny to brawny. It weren't a bad price either £12.99, well that has saved me spending $97!
