hmmm... I am already sleepy... but you have forced me to write some stuff now... Following is my point of view...
Not to demotivate you... but losing 30 pounds in 2 months is not a good thought... which translates to 3.5 pounds per week... if you are obsessive enough, you will stop eating and will do lots of exercise... Please do not do this... this will cause a damage to your body... Please re-think about it... With a proper diet and exercise you should optimally not lose more than 2 pounds per week... try to lose the first 15 pounds and believe me you will be a totally new and fresh looking person... the next 15 will also bring in good differences but you can put it on hold for some more time...
Wishing you best of luck in whatever goal you have...

theres ways of loosing it...i did about 6-8 pounds a week..really not worth it though...

rethink this goal

Hi Karen:)

I have recently lost 15kg(33lbs) in 3 months and that is considered quick weightloss.
I was doing a programme called Cohen's which is an individualised weight loss plan.
How are you planning on losing your weight?
I know with the programme I was doing people who had alot more weight to lose could lose up to 10kg in one month but it is very varied and individualised.

Good luck and take care.
Sam:)

thank you for your comments. i didnt think anyone would respond but im glad you guys did. i think the 2 pounds a week thing might be better than rushing. I just feel so overwhelmed by the amount of weight that i have to lose. i am so ashamed and embarassed. i just want to be fit fast, but i know that i didnt gain it all i one night so i cant lose it all in one night.

Hi Sam-

What is this Cohen's? I've heard so much about it on this forum but I've never even heard about it! Thanks!

There's no need to be ashamed or embarrassed. Most of us are here for the same reasons - because we've eaten too much/not exercised enough and we need to lose weight. You're amongst friends here :)

For most of us here, losing weight and getting fit is an amazing journey. Although I sometimes think, "I wish I'd started doing this a long time ago," I don't want to rush it. There's something new to enjoy about this journey every day. For me, in the last few days, there has been:

Walking 12 miles and not being too exhausted at the end of it.
Putting on clothes that used to be tight, and finding them comfortable.
Increasing the speed on the treadmill, and finding I can manage it.
Being told by a guy at the gym that I look fitter.

It's all these little things that make the journey so exciting, and if you take it nice and slowly, all the while you can be thinking about the fantastic change you're making in your life. For me, this is about more than just getting the body I want (although that's still very important, and it motivates me day to day). It's about becoming fit and healthy for life.

I'm glad you've decided to go for the steady 2lb a week. Your body will reward you for it in end.
