Flumes

I wasn't going to post a before and after shot cause I didn't think there was much change yet. Add to the fact that I hate the way I looked and I still see myself looking like I did.
But, sometimes we have to overcome our obstacles....for me, its not wearing a shirt.

Before pic is in Cuba this year and I weighed about 220 lbs

Other two pics are of me drywalling the garage today at about 206 lbs.

(I was gonna call myself "Conan the Destroyer" but it was already taken so I guess Flumes the Drywaller will have to do :) )

Have a great day!

Flumes, huge huge difference - well done hon and no need to be embarrised about not wearing a shirt now! I'd definitely look twice if I was walking by you drywalling!

Oh hey there good lookin'! You look awesome flumes--really you do!! And I'm also very jealous you went to Cuba-I'd loveee to go there.

Thanks guys. I'm flattered. And thanks for being a big part of that motivating force that keeps me trying.

As for Cuba Sunflower....go if you can! The people are sooo friendly and down to earth that you really feel empathy for them. And the beaches are just beautiful. I dont think we can afford to go again next year, but I would go back in a heartbeat! So go if you can.

(BTW....before we left, I went shopping for swimming trunks and when I got home, I told my wife I bought "Speedos" The look on her face was like, "I am not going to Cuba if you wear Speedos!" Well...the trunks are Speedos and she was soo relieved I didnt buy the banana hammock style speedos like she pictured in her mind.)

Have a great day and thanks again!

You need to go and buy some new glasses if you think that there hasn't been a change. :) Congrats you look great

The difference is really striking!
Before, all angles were rounded and your tummy was prominent.
Now I can see a great silhouette and a far flatter belly. Your gym time has really paid off. I feel like the difference I see is far more than just the difference of 14 lbs!

Congrats on the transformation so far and here's to your future success!

WOW! Great job! That looks to me like WAY more than a 14 lb difference though! Keep up the great work!

Thanks Rox. Muchily appreciated. Can you believe I was suckin in my gut in the beach pic? lol

I might have lost more fat than that but I'm sure I made a lil muscle gain. I increased the weights a bit as they started getting easier and easier. (Mind you I wasnt lifting tons to begin with but it does feel better than when I started.

Thanks again!

Thanks Tigpuppy! I don't think I was ever checked out by a biker babe before! lol (Loved your diary! good job!)

And you've lost over 20 lbs yourself! Congrats!

I understand how you feel about posting a pic on here.....its probably the most uncomfortable feeling I've ever had. But for me its a low self esteem/self conscious thing I'm trying to get over. And at 46, I'm think finally starting to see the light. Coming here and actually losing weight and working out is making me feel better about myself. I tell my kids....when you do good...good things happen. Well, its happenin!

Thanks again! And good luck with your progress!

Thanks eyckmans :) (I had laser eye surgery a few yrs back and it still didnt change the way I looked at myself! lol) You shoulda seen the glasses I had to wear.....they could have lit a campfire!

But thanks, I understand what you mean. I'm trying.

Well for starters it looks like you turned from a soft white man to the ripped green giant. You've got muscles this time around!

I'd like to see what you look like now. har har.

Glad to see you're challenging yourself on you're self esteem I think that rocks. Just a warning though, I'm 20's and see too many men in their 40's who think they're spring chickens all macho and strutty and hitting on the young chicks. lol. (I'm sure you're not like that...) Its somewhat funny because it just doesn't fit. Haha.

You have lots of reason to be confident and content with how you look. Besides the fact you seem to have a stellar writing personality (from what I've seen on the boards you're somewhat of a staple here) Well, its just my honest opinion.

Be encouraged!
