Chubby Mummy to Yummy Mummy

I'm back, again. I wish I could say I've stayed at 140lbs since I was last here back in 2007ish, but as soon as I hit my final goal, it all came back on.

I gave birth to my son last November 1st. He's one now and keeps me on my toes! I had a c-section with him and he was almost 10lbs (9lb 13oz) so I had a massive stomach. I'm covered in stretchmarks and my stomach hasn't toned up yet. I know, gross.

However! I am here to change it, finally. :) It's been a year since my section and I'm healed nicely, so I feel like I can give it my all.

I did lose 9lbs in August using Rosemary Conley but I stopped once I only lost 1lb each week, which is stupid because I know that's a normal amount.

I became a single mum (finally!) four days ago, and I had a miscarriage just two weeks ago, so it's been rough and I definitely need to feel good about myself, so here's my plan.

Get hair cut and dyed
Get my nails done
Have a massage (could do with one right now, my back is in agony!)
Buy new clothes
Buy new underwear sets
^ Not too many clothes or underwear sets though, just enough to make me feel lush. I hope to bring down my clothes size very soon :p
Lose 40lbs

I'm 180lbs right now. I'd like to be 10st again, but I'll accept the fact that I might not be able to get to that weight without looking very unhealthy, because most of my weight is around my tummy in the form of excess skin.

My first goal is get to 170lbs. Any tips will be appreciated, however I know now that no matter what anyone says, I've got to do this for myself and only I can do this.

Hey!
I've hovering around 179 right now :) how tall are you?

I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage--be careful with doing too much exercise too soon. Sounds like you're relieved to be a single mum and I hope you stick around here for support! We all rant about non-food related stuff around here anyway ;)

Hiya :)

I'm 5ft 5in, how tall are you?

Thanks. I had a chemical pregnancy so because I wasn't too far along I've been given the all clear to exercise. Which is good, because I need something to take my mind off things and exercise makes you happier anyway, right? :)

Hey there and welcome to WLF.

Sounds like you've been through the mill.

I love your list of things to do. It's so great to make an effort with your appearance, I think it makes the exercise and cal counting a bit easier. I've decided to try and wear everything in my jewellery (not all at once haha). It's nice to have something nice on eh :)
