My Goal is to lose 16 pounds by Christmas. That gives me 10 weeks, and I have to lose about 1.6 pounds per week.

I think that this is going to be really hard with Halloween and the Holiday Season coming up.

Those are my biggest obstacles.

And so is eating when I'm bored . . . I'll just have to take up some new hobbies, possibly sports.

If anyone could give me some advice on the most effective exercises and food ideas, it would be much appreciated. And by the way, I'm a vegetarian, and mostly sugar, chocolate, and other junk foods are my biggest problem.

Hi, and welcome!!

Cardio exercise is good. Running, walking, aerobics, etc. If you don't want to count calories, then take the normal food you're eating now and cut it in half.

Drink water when you're craving something, or go for a walk, or do anything to take your mind off of it. I read somewhere that cravings usually go away within 10 minutes, if you focus your mind somewhere else.

16 lbs by Christmas is a really great and realistic goal. Good luck with it!!! :)
