Chit's Progress (Before and Now)

Hey guys,

I have been lurking here for over a year and just joined officially about a month ago. I've taken lots of great advice from this site and put it to use.

I started out around 320 lbs. College + beer + pizza really does a number on the body. Anyhow, I've just accepted a position in law enforcement and I've been training all spring/summer for academy. On my "ticker" in my sig line, it shows that I started at 296lbs. This is because that is the weight in which I started at *this* time (ha) and that would have been around May 1st.

My goal weight is in the ~220 ballpark. If I can get under that and still be strong/healthy, that's fine.... I would be amazed. I'm 6'1'' and always been a "big guy." If you can imagine a defensive lineman (football), that's how I'm built.

I didn't post pictures from the beginning because I'm weird and wanted to make sure that I'd see results and stick with it *this* time. Sorry for the blurry pictures, I used a camera phone for all of them, I think....

Let me know if you can see any changes.

Thanks, ladies and gents, for the advice and encouragement.
I'll put more pictures up after this week. I'll be in a wedding and there should be some good ones, haha.

Before: ~320 lbs

Half-way (currently) ~266

Hi Chit,

you can definitely see a big difference! Congrats!

My boyfriend is the same body type. He's 6'2" and at about 260 also, and he's trying to play football (o line) in college. Before that, however, he was trying to lose weight, and I got to see first hand how hard it is for a guy with such a naturally big build to lose weight. It seemed like he had to work twice as hard as me to see the same kind of results.

So it's awesome that you have been able to come this far, and I hope that you have nothing but success in the future. :)

Thanks guys.

WittBound,

Glad I'm not the only one ;) I lifted weights so much in high school and put on so much lean muscle that the distribution of body weight is absolutely crazy. I've worked out with a couple of people throughout recent years and I literally DID have to do twice as much work to see results on the scale, on my body, and with how my clothes fit.

I still do some gym work, but my workouts are usually extremely intense and only for about 20 minutes. I've been doing as well as some of workouts. It's crazy stuff.
