Center of chest underdeveloped

I'm pretty new to weight training. After benching and doing push ups for about a month, i've noticed that the center of my chest isn't developing as much as the rest. There seems to be a spot almost parallel to my armpits that is underdeveloped compared to the rest of my chest. Should I be doing more incline/decline or just regular benching? thanks
 
The center of the chest? There are 2 pecs that are separated..there shouldnt be muscle inbetween there in the first place.
 
its not in the center of the chect vertically, its horizontally. My upper and lower chest are fine, but my middle chest is a little weak.
 
Are you talking about across were your nipples are?

I have the same problem but i think it will develop over time.
 
Try bringing your grip on the bar closer together during your bench press, more of the work will then be done by the middle of your chest. Same thing when you place your handsfor pushups.

Also, I don't know your BF specs, but if it is higher, then definition will not show as quickly. Personally speaking the outside of my chest shows much quicker than the middle.
