Thanks, Llama. My SIL is very bossy, & I'll steer clear for a while. My feelings do matter. I know she's under a lot of stress & it's very complicated but I need to protect myself too.
I am actually feeling well-loved today & do feel grateful for what I have. I am going to water my friend garden. My visit to T1 this afternoon was lovely. I had a few nice encounters out at the golf club too. I also got a message from C, R's GF saying she picked her littlies up yesterday & they asked when they were seeing us next. I messaged her back & said her kids are just adorable. Apparently, her little daughter said to C, when they were up here, that she has a new grandma. How sweet is that? I am feeling the love 💗 C also asked if she could add me on FB so we could see one another's photos. I hadn't wanted to make the 1st move there as I don't want to make any assumptions or put any pressure on her. It was really nice to be asked.

It's so important to nurture friendships & try to avoid those who would drag you down.

I had a really exhausting day yesterday & would have been better off playing golf. I spent hours on my own traipsing around town. I did buy a smart pair of black capris to go with my new golf shirt, a pair of navy slacks & a new pillow. It was hot & I walked 6.5 km on hard pavements. My right hip hurt like crazy. Next time I'll play I think, maybe in a cart. I hate shopping & I wasn't going to visit any of my outlaws, even though they all live nearby.

Thanks, Llama & Liza. I have been a bit achy since Sunday. I took Arch for a walk yesterday & did quite a bit of gardening & had a nice day, ate well etc. G has gone to golf again & I think I'll do some more gardening.

Hope the achiness passes quickly. Sounds like you're not letting it chain you to a chair though; that's good.

Thanks, Llama & Liza :)
I was drained last night & went to bed at 10 & slept until 6 am. I have terrible hay fever at the moment & my Asthma is playing up. Another home day is planned. We're playing golf tomorrow with I & T in the chicken run. I have one to collect from a couple of weeks ago. R & C are arriving on Friday. The house is pretty tidy.

Always good to have a full night's sleep without waking up in between. Also: have I mentioned that allergies suck? Thanks for reminding me to take my AH though...

Glad I could be of help, Llama :) I hate to think how I would be without anti-histamines, eye drops, nasal spray, and asthma puffers.....
I remind myself that it could be much worse!
I decided that I would take lunch tomorrow to share with I & T after golf. I whipped up a hummus (haha, if only you knew how rare this is that I actually prepare food), cut up some pickled onions, ham, corned beef, snow peas, celery, cherry tomatoes & have some GF & other crackers in a container. I may have made the hummus a bit garlicky, but we'll be ok. I love garlic!
G is out playing pool tonight.
I did more gardening today & took Arch for a good walk.

Oh that sounds delicious!
Too bad about the allergies, but yes! great there are so many remedies that can at least help ease the symptoms!

Thanks, Liza. I'll add some carrot sticks too & maybe more cheese. I can always bring it home again.
Archie woke us at 5 am, barking at an imaginary visitor. We heard a car in the distance.
We have a large Bennett's wallaby family living right near the house at the moment. It's Mum, with a joey in her pouch & Dad. The joey looks hilarious, with its head & one leg usually sticking out. Arch goes bananas barking at them, but they don't care much. They were just outside our large glass bedroom window this morning. I can truthfully say I won't feel bad about leaving him home on his own for a few hours this morning. 😴

I wish our neighbour had changed his mind about the security gate, Llama as I think it might have been overkill, but it seems he'll still be getting one. Oh, well.

We played 9 holes of golf with I & T & I got 19 points. I got a birdie on a hard hole over a lake. That's a first! I really enjoyed my golf & feel I'm gradually getting fitter. Everyone enjoyed the picnic I took & my hummus was delicious.
I have had a snooze since we got home, after a cup of tea.

That sounds like a lovely day despite the disturbed night!
The thing with security gates is that while they absolutely do deter casual thieves a determined, prepared professional will always find a way to open it (easiest way is probably to steal one of the transmitter keys on top of the stuff you want).

Oh my goodness that sounds so cute!! That seems lucky for you to have them as neighbors--are they generally nice to have around or can they be a nuisance in any way (eating garden stuff or getting aggressive?)
Too bad about Archie waking you up though.

Really sounds like a perfect day :) Congrats on the birdie and nice that your picnic was a hit!

Thanks, Llama & Liza. Yesterday was a lovely day. I'm really enjoying our friendship with I & T. They are both really good company.
Wallabies are lovely creatures & are quite shy. They aren't in the slightest bit aggressive but you do have to fence off trees & shrubs until they reach a certain height. You definitely have to have a well-fenced veggie garden. On a plus side, they keep the grass down.
Edit: I have to remember that I often feel down the day after a game of golf. I am very tired & everything feels like such an effort. Hopefully, as I get fitter & lose some weight ( :svengo: ) this will improve. It seems disproportionate to the exercise.
