off day

TOO many off days this week. Not enough fresh fruits and veggies. I've got to get back on the wagon before I start gaining weight.

I know the feeling. You will be on track in not time--and you're come so far. Great job! I'm excited about hearing you breaking into the 140s!

Casey, do they allow Wheat pasta on all their dishes at OG?? If so, I know what I'm ordering there next time I go, because I like the wheat pasta. .. bad thing is, my favorite is the Alfredo sauce, so it's not like the wheat pasta helps that much.. =(

Did I miss reading that you broke into the 140's?? CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Party in Casey's Diary!!!!

LOL, I haven't hit the 140's yet. I think CG meant she was looking forward to hearing that in the future. I'll have to weigh myself after my "special visitor" to double check, though.

I feel like I still have a lot of work to do. I'm starting to slip into old habits again (dangerous!). Not drinking enough, eating too many processed carbs, not eating enough fruits and veggies, etc. I've eaten out way too much this week. I love how I look and I think subconsciously I'm eating and exercising at a maintenance level. If I am serious about losing these last 5-6 pounds, I need to keep my calories around 1800, exercise 5 to 6 days a week with varying intensity, and get water, fruit, veggies, protein, and fiber. AND all my vitamins/minerals. I'm planning on going for a long run this afternoon (hopefully 4 or 5 miles), eating some fruits and veggies afterwards, and cooking an Asian vegetable stir-fry for dinner. I'm out of chocolate and I really don't want to buy any more.

Now for some good news...I was at Walmart last night, in the ice cream aisle, staring at the Ben and Jerry's. I picked up one and read the nutrition facts...350 cals a serving, 4 servings! Just in one little pint! I realized it just wasn't worth it and put it back. I also bought an ADORABLE dress for my boyfriend's formal...it's cream colored, short, and "flowy"...and I bought some shoes and jewelry to go with it. Can't wait!

Photocrazed---I'm pretty sure you can order any dish with the wheat pasta instead of white. It could definitely not hurt to ask!

wow! i never thought of ordering wheat pasta at olive garden!!!

that's a great idea!

i have been slipping on my foods (and exercise) as well. we need to get back at it!!

:D

Run, 5 miles in 49 minutes

I sprained my ankle very badly in October of '06 and this is the longest I've run since before I injured it! It's an awesome feeling. I am SO proud of myself. Recovery has been great so far-fatigued, but I'm not sore or tender anywhere. I guess weight loss helps! It was great to get outside for an hour and push myself. I reminded myself today that I know what I'm doing and I know how to apply it. (Even though I could have used more protein). The ice cream demon has been after me hard today and the past week. Ever since retreat (when I ate all that sugary crap), when I think about it. I am doing well at resisting. I know I proclaim to be a total vegetarian but ice cream is extremely difficult to give up for the rest of your life!

Wow Casey; you're SO going to get to goal weight. Your food looks excellent and you're running. You're doing great. Since you like ice cream do you think those DQ fudge and vanilla-orange bars would satisfy? They're only 45 and 60 calories a bar.

Great day, despite salt cravings and horrid cramps/headache (started my period). 145 here I come!

I applied for another on-campus job. It's in the Student ID Card office and it goes for the summer and fall (and possibly after that). I'm pretty sure I will get it-I went through student employment and I got to talk to the office supervisor. It's 15 hours per week in the summer and 12 hours per week in the fall, which is just what I need. I hope I get it! :)

You're totally right!!

In every way in this post!!

Good for you for resisting B&J--there are several things I have resisted lately because "it's not worth it," and when I AM eating to maintain, I WILL eat it again (whatever it is)

Yes. You should eat more fruits and veggies, and lay off the processed crap. I know I should sound sweeter but I whole heartedly agree! Even if you weren't trying to lose those last 6 lbs (which you WILL), I would say that. I went on a 4 day BINGE lately--my saving grace was I over-ate healthy ass foods! It was strange...."gorging" on apples and such. But now I'm back, and so are you! We can hang in there! YAHOO! /cheesiness;)

Thanks for all the input CG. You rock!

Today...totally bad day...terrible mood swings, terrible cramps, crying for no reason, splitting headache. My periods usually are not this severe. I don't know what the problem is. To make a long story short, although I got some healthy stuff in today I ate anything sweet I could get my hands on---ice cream, cookie, and tootsie rolls. I have GOT to get my ass in gear. It seems like I have a good day or two and then just fall off the wagon. I can't take back what I ate today. All I can do is promise myself that tomorrow will be healthier. I am too happy with my weight loss and too determined to get these last five pounds off. I'm not going to let food be the victor. Hopefully tomorrow my cycle will be better.

I have been under quite a bit of stress...the usual school stuff, registering for summer and fall classes, trying to find a place to live after I get kicked out of here on the 13th of May, and trying to find a job so that I can afford an apartment. That's not an excuse to eat whatever I want. So easy to say, and yet so hard to put into practice...

Everyone have a great rest of the week. I'm going to, even if it kills me!

Casey
