Can't lose wieght

I am retired male, age 66. I exercise daily with a half-hour walk. I eat a balanced diet with three servings of fruit, 2 servings of veggies and protein consumption of mostly fish and fowl. Occasionally beef. My caloric intake averages 1200-1500/day. I simply have a low activity level and am not often hungry. Yet, my weight remains fixed at about 200 pounds. I am 6 feet tall and average frame. Slender in appearance. I am not dieting, but it would seem I would lose weight, given the caloric content of my daily intake. I think I am over-weight for a person my size, age and frame yet I stay at this weight. I have not yet addressed this with my GP, but wanted some input from this forum. Thank-you for input.

Thanks for replying. According to the charts I have used my body mass is 48, which supposedly is way off the charts. Yet I appear slender! I am also on synthetic thyroid medication for over twenty years. I have heard that this might be a factor, but haven't discussed it with my doctor yet. I would like to loose 15 pounds to get within a normal range for my age and height. But if I cut calories anymore I will feel as though I am starving myself. This is what is so puzzling. I should be loosing weight, given my caloric intake. This has been a constant for nearly a year. Also last month I had a routine echo-stress test and passed with flying colors. Any links you might provide for a cellular cleanse would be appreciated.

One of my friend is facing the same problem with his weight. He tries best to follow all necessary activities required to lose body weight but there is no change...Any suggestions will be appreciated.
