Assisted pullups are the way to go if you can. They helped me out a lot when I could only do a few. I'd done lat pull downs for a long time, but those never made me better at pullups. They are my favorite exercise now.
daYum. Wow lolI'm doing 12-14 pullups for my first set
Pictures are not a good benchmark of how strong you are. Weight, Height, Arm length, etc have a lot to do with pull-ups. It is very possible that you are doing them wrong as well. Or, you could have all those advantages on your side and be pumping out that many, who knows. And by the way, replacing pull-ups with standing curls is a horrible thing to do, your lats will shrivel and dieYour picture is quite misleading then merciless, we are both almost the same body weight and im doing 12+ normal grip 10 wide grip pull ups/16+ chins. I never used those machines, just did standing curls turn palms out halfway and go up over your head and then did that process in reverse and repeat... i forgot what thats called but w/e. Gravitrons should be called gayitrons, i hate them so much.
