Can someone name this excersize?

I came across this excersize several years ago while I was going through infantry basic training - I forget what he called these things, but one afternoon our DI had us doing these seemingly rediculously easy repititions that we all inwardly laughed at. I forget EXACTLY how to do them, thus my requesting the excersizes name so I can figure em out.

Anyways, you lie down on your side, and bend either your top or bottom leg just a little bit. Prop your head up with your arm, and do sideays crunches. VERY easy to do. We did something like 200 on each side, and were like "Wow, 200 and I'm barely exhausted from it."

Thank god for the daily targetted body PT that had us concentrating on running the next day, cause oh my god, we had an entire barracks incapable of putting out more than ten simple sit-ups the next day. I kid you not, we BURNED like there was no tomorrow. Man it was great. If anyone knows what that excersize might have been, and exactly how to do it, I'd be incredibly grateful.

Aaaah, I know of this exercise... It is called a "collosal waist of time"... :D

Have you ever noticed that those people piling into the 45 minute long abs classes have ZILCH for sixpacks? Do some heavy resistance ab exercises and you will build up your ab muscles. If you can do 200 reps of it, you are wasting your time.
