I've plateaued for 2 weeks at 187. I know it doesn't seem like that big of a deal - but I would like to lose at least 1-2 pounds a week (minimum) and have been working as hard as ever.
This is what is so frustrating... I have exercised 6 days a week consistently . I recently started with a trainer- got a weight lifting plan and everything and have been lifting every other day with cardio six days a week. Last week, for the first time in four years, I ran 3 miles without stopping and felt great. I know I am getting in better shape- but why isn't the weight coming off?
I am consuming 1200-1500 calories each day. I mainly eat Lean Cuisines, yogurt, have 1-2 diet cokes a day, and if i snack i have a 100 calorie pack of sandies OR a weight watcher dessert bar. I drink lots of water and crystal light too.
I know it is normal for everyone to plataeu- and i hate to change anything exercise wise because I just started lifting weights and I think it is really helping me tone but what do you guys think? Could the weight lifting be slowing me down? Thanks for reading and I appreciate your opinions.
