Can I run the same day as my FBW ?

I'm doing a FBW on MWF to gain size and strength for sports and normally finish my workout with a 2km run on the treadmill for cardio. I'm 5'11 and have gone from 152lbs to 160lbs in approx 4 months (goal 176lbs). I know this is not real fast but I am trying to minimise fat gain.

A friend has suggested I run with him in a 12km Fun Run being held in 3 months time and having run half marathons in the past I am very tempted.

My concern however is being slim and trying to bulk will the additional cardio of increasing my running inhibit my growth particularly in my legs. I will need to add additional calories to my diet to compensate for the cardio so as to maintain a calorie surplus, however as my weakest point asthetically are my legs I am worried if I run more my legs will not develop as fast.

Can people please share thoughts on this and if I do run can I do it on the treadmill straight after my workout or should I run on alternate days. I would prefer to run the same day purely as I'm at the gym and motivated so would prefer to keep my rest days for rest and family.

I do, but I'm still fat so I don't know if it hurts or helps, I would assume it would help... no reason not to do it?
 
You can run on the same day as lifting, no harm. You are wise to run while bulking, cardio will help your body oxidize fat and to minimize fat gains. Just add in some extra cals and you'll be fine.
